I think I'll tear up. :'(
Although.. I don't have high expectations. Just excited.

Anand has said on twitter that he won't sleep until its done, so I expect it sometime this evening as well.
Somehow, have been getting the distinct impression that reviewers under NDA have better drivers/bios updates than we realize. Would fit with the delay on shipments. Going to have to stay up now and check the different reviews and trusted opinions.
It's surreal isn't it? Is this how you pictured it? With forty-three days left in the year, AMD is finally letting us publish benchmarks of its long awaited Phenom microprocessor. The successor to K8, AMD's most successful micro-architecture to date, and the cornerstone of AMD's desktop microprocessor business for 2008: Phenom is here.
But shouldn't there be fireworks? Where's the catchy title? The Star Wars references were bound to continue right? Why were there no benchmarks before today, why are the next several pages going to be such a surprise?
AMD had been doing such a great job of opening the kimono as its employees liked to say, giving us a great amount of detail on Barcelona, Phenom and even the company's plans for 2008 - 2009. The closer we got to Phenom's official launch however, the quieter AMD got.

To hell with SSD's and cell phones, this is what our ancestors came to anandtech for all those decades ago!
even at 1024x768 its almost dead even with the Phenom X4 in gaming. lol
HotHardware is so cruel. They have a link to the review but it doesn't work.
yeah at stock speed it is sometimes slower than the Phenom 2 X4. wow, I feel sorry for gamers that waited for this chip.Wow. Everything was true. It's not even competitive with the 2500k once you reach a common overclock (~4.5ghz), all while consuming TONS of power.
This is AMD's Prescott. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
BD 1st gen can only be a value processor line.
AMD can indeed fix things with another stab at it though, sort of how PhI went from meh to PhII being fairly good all things considered.
