[disclaimer]sorry joohang but as a brazilian I feel that I must start this thread![/disclaimer]

So Brazil played well and beat Turkey, earning the spot in the World Cup Finals alongside Germany.
These two, amongst the top 5 soccer teams in the world have never met in an official FIFA World Cup and whoever the winner is, it will be a historical feat, as Brazil can become the first ever 5-time champions or Germany can equal Brazil's 4-time record!

I think Germany will definitely miss Michael Ballack, the man who scored the winning goal in the past two matches, the squad's assist leader and main playmaker. He is by far the most skillful German player (excluding Kahn).

Brazil on the other hand will have an excellent playmaker return to the squad as Ronaldinho comes back from his 1-game suspension.

I think Brazil will take this one home in 90 minutes... a solid 2-1 win!

EDIT: BRAZIL IS 2002 WORLD CUP CHAMPION!!! BEATS GERMANY 2-0!!! w00t!!

Brazil should be able to win since Barrack is missing for Germany and he has scored the past two goals for Germany.

i had a friend in HS from Brazil. he was in the foreign exchange program. We made a bet in 1996, and i said that the US will make it to the elimination round by then, but Brazil will probably win it.

It seems somewhat ironic that in a World Cup of such huge upsets it ends up with the two most successful nations in the history of the World Cup competing the final.

Also, with this match Brazil become only the second team to reach three consecutive finals, after W. Germany.

Well since I got the first reply in here is some more stuff.

Brazil will be the stronger team. Ronaldo should be rested enough to get rid of that slight injury. Rivaldo will be back from the Espy's after winning the "Best Dive" award for the original Turkey game. Ronaldinho will be very rested since he sat out the semifinal for an overly harsh red card.

Germany will be missing Barrack who is their current best goal scorer. Klose seems to be in a bit of a rut after a gluttony of goals in the first round. Kahn will cause the Brazilians to scream out his name William Shatner style throughout the whole game.

Its very interesting that between the teams they have 7 World Cup championships, but have never met in the final game.

Should be a good game and hopefully their will be more goals than has been the trend in the quarters and semis (that is 1-0).

EDIT: Hopefully Ronaldo will have gotten rid of that absolutely horrible haircut by then too.

I'm wondering about Klose myself I mean after looking at a potential hiscore with at least a goal in every first round match and a hat trick in one of them he hasn't scored since...
Brazil's defenders are tall though and Lucio is particularly good at aerial plays so I'm confident we're gonna shut him out for good!

Whatever happens, I just hope my team plays a nice game! And my Team is GERMANY!

I think Germany will win and here is why:

• 
  The Team had one more day of rest
  They won against an awesome home crowd of the most polite host of a WC ever (Kudos Korea!)
  They will expose the weak defense of Brazil with their standard plays
  Klose will not be fouled (shirt tucked by every player)
  The German Team wants to show that they have the depth to win without Ballak
  (But we will miss him dearly)
  Brazil will give away to many chances like today because of selfish play (not passing the ball)
  Last but not least... KAHN The undisputed Worlds best Goal keeper right now
  (If we go into PK's we win for sure)

Never the less... Brazil has the guns and I tip my hat to their endurance and depth of talent. What better game could a true fan of the game hope for!

And this is how serious the whole thing is to me. I am flying to Germany tomorrow just to watch the game on Sunday with my Family. Monday I will come back with a mayor Headache from celebrating (or drowning my sorrow

Pretty boring match if you ask me. Where's the fun in seeing two of the top soccer teams in the finals? Imagine if it were Korea and Turkey in the finals, now that would be something. BOOO!!!!! I think I'll sleep on this one. Soccer sucks, and I know why Americans don't care for it anymore. It's a game where the top dogs rule and the underdogs never become champions. yeah!! unlike basketball for instance where the Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Bulls fought the battle of the underdogs to see who'd win the NBA !!! oh no, wait... :Q that never actually happened... in fact, they didn't even make it into the playoffs ... ohh well hockey... ok where are the mighty ducks... yeah, thats right!

Prediction: Brazil will win within the 90 minutes + injury times of play. No extra times or penalty shootouts. They will probably win by 1.

Brazil will be the first World Cup nation to win all 7 World Cup finals matches without a tie or penalty shootout. One of the R dudes will take the Golden Boot award. Ronaldo is more likely to take it as he leads with 6 goals, but Rivaldo could also take it as he got 5. Klose also has a good chance with 5 goals if Germany manages to screw up the Brazilian defense, which has been very strong.

I heard that Brazil and Germany made it to the final match 6 times each in World Cup history yet they never faced each other in the final. Should be a great one.
