7k250 = model series

the # compusa uses is just the exact item model.

from a quick look of the compusa is part of the 7k250 series.

traditionally, I think 4am for a 6am opening will get you in the top 30.. of course that depends on how populated your area is and how many BBs there are. I'd get there at 330am if I wanted something real bad.

I kind of want the laptop at BB, but Westbury, NY BB is the closes one to me and that probably services about a 15 mile radius.

I wonder what time i would have to be there to even have a chance. I'm guessing they don't have lots in stock 10 or more?

Its also really cold and windy here in NY. 29F feels like 15F
 
jnetty99, do u have a CC near u? that laptop would be a better deal. plus they have the AOL thing which nets u an additional $70 discount. in the end, u get a better laptop for the same price. or close to it.
 
for the CompUSA deals, we don't have to print out the ad right? It's not a coupon... for the instant savings... or is it?

CC is about 1/4 mile down from BB. That laptop is $449, I think Dell has a laptop for that same price at the moment.
I would never take the AOL deal... i got issues with them.

Edit: also Walmart is about 100 yards away from Best Buy, maybe that people will go there instead.
 
Well---- I'm going to go watch a movie that should take until 1pm and I think I'll try to go buy the laptop from BB or Circuit City... I'll leave around 2:30am and then scope out both stores to see how the lines are.

I'm back from the CompUSA 12AM opening. There were about 75 people ahead of me and maybe 50 behind me. I stood outside in the cold (Clear and Windy [Wind: From WNW at 20 mph gusting to 27 mph, 25°F, feels like 11°F) for about 13 minutes. They opened and we all ran in. I got what I wanted: the 200GB Seagate HD and the SimpleTech 160GB External HD (thy had plenty of both), checked out, and left. It was glorious.
 
Does anyone know if I need to line up early to buy a $50 chair at Staples? Do a lot of people buy office chairs on BF? Or am I safe going in at lets say 10AM?

That's pretty cheap. I'd guess that you'd need to be inside the store within 15 minutes of it opening.
 
Ok, someone whos done research, what store are open at midnight already? I know walmart, but what else?

I'm wide awake now, but theres NO way that I'll fight the 5 am crowds in the morning.
