awesome movie... long senseless thrill ride. If you want to go watch a movie and not do a lot of thinking for about 3 hours this is the one!

How much was the budget on this thing? It must have been a lot because there was a LOT of action sequences.

yeah, EVERYTHING in that movie is real, no special or computer generated effects (from what I heard). That one mansion, they bought it just to blow it up. Forgot how much it cost, but it was quite a bit.

Some of that car chase stuff with the Ferrari dodging cars HAD to be computer generated. Would seem almost impossible otherwise.

According to Will Smith on Leno, he said that there was no computer generated images in the movie (apart from the bullet shooting close up and small things like that). He emphasized car chase scenes were real (and he had it up to 110mph and was scared shitless as was Martin Lawnrence) and no damage occured to the Ferrari UNITL the end of the filming, when Martin Lawrence ran it into a pole (or something stupid like that).
Will Smith is full of it:p You can clearly see that the Ferrari is CGI in more than one shot and the car would have been totally demolished if it hadn't been CGI

I saw it yesterday afternoon.

Great movie IMHO.

Like others have mentioned, I'm glad "action" is back to where it should be. Hard "R" all the way baby!

Alot of the critics are dogging it because it's 2.5 hours long. Who cares how long the movie is as long as it keeps you entertained. And I was thoroughly entertained. When the movie was over, I was still wanting more.

Not as many good one liners in the sequel, but it made up for it with all the great comedy scenes (the rats, the electronics store porno/heart-to-heart, the mean father routine with the ludacris lookin kid, the scene in the crematorium)

So many great, funny scenes! Not to mention TONS OF ACTION. The budget musta been huge because every five minutes there is either a gunfight, explosion, or car chase.

I really liked it. It had a different "feel" from the first movie, but that doesn't change my opinion of it. It entertained the hell outta me! :)

Clearly you can see that I believe everything Will Smith says..after all...he is the great one!! I don't see you up there making movies! :p

About the length, I guess its a big deal to you guys, but I'm used to 2.5hr movies..actually I think they should be that long to begin with. Of course, I'm used to hindi movies that are usually 3hrs long anyway.

lol yea, i doubt will works all that closely with the fx people:p

they did a lot of cutting to close ups of will and martin where the view was obscured. then cut back to distance shot of car with all the fx and no view of the drivers. then the shaky shots where you can't make out the drivers again. all hiding stunt doubles and cg fx:p

I loved this movie. The action kept me in suspense and Martin & Will are just a hilarious couple on screen. This movie does take the graphic violence to another level with the slow-mo bullets ripping through peoples heads and out the other end, but that is what it takes with a new thrill seeking audience.

If critics are going to knock on this movie for being another senseless action flick while giving that horrid Matrix Reloaded movie top ratings, then I will never trust another critic review.

But I do agree the movie was a bit on the long side, but not once did it feel like it was getting dragged out. Much better then the original Bad Boys. Got to watch this in the movies with surround sound and a huge screen display.

good movie, very entertaining. it was well-worth the price of admission. i would heavily consider watching it again in its theatrical run. there have been some hit (x2, pirates) and misses (matrix, 2f2f) this summer, but this movie definetly files into the GOOD category. this movie was a refresher course in why not to listen to critics. they always over-analyze these things, and i believe they just need to sit back, put the notepad down and enjoy the movie. this movie isnt going to win any awards (perhaps Dr. Dre will get a nod for his score in this movie, highly unlikely), but it was a few hours of good-adrenaline fun. A good combo of comedy and action, and I for one hope that the dvd comes with a DTS track.

FINALLY got to see it today. And I dunno, I wasn't that impressed. I'm SUCH a big Bad Boys fan, and have been tracking this since it came out. I dunno, it was alright. It just missed something, I'm not sure.

Definitely a good movie, but I guess I was hoping too much for it to be like Part One. I didn't do that for Terminator, and ended up enjoying that. I dunno.

My favorite line had to have been:
Captain: "So, did you two call each other up today, and ask 'Hey, how can we f**k over the captain today?"
HAHA

I didn't get to record the Audio like I wanted to. Oh well.

I thought the part in the electronics store was especially funny... "My ass is still sore because of what you did to it..." haha that was so damn funny.

Well, that settles it. Since Amish loves this movie, I'm not seeing this movie unless somebody pays me! :)

heheh..

Usually movie trailers put out all of their best segments from the movie, but in the case of Bad Boys II I think they only put some good parts, because there are too many good parts to choose from!

The entire movie rocks, I basically laughed every couple of minutes during the movie :D
