People talk about the one movie you should see all summer - fvck the matrix, fvck T3, fvck pirates of my ass, Bad Boys II is the sh!t. I'm seeing it again tomorrow :)

Not to mention the many scantily clad chicks (and one not so "lively" chick with falsies towards the end of the movie:)).

I guess my major beef is that the violence exhibited in this movie is so grossly beyond what was offered up in the first that it just seems so out of place. Almost like they were trying TOO hard.

That being said, I still loved the movie, but I think I liked the first one better.

I liked her falsies :) I agree about the violence part, but I think they purposely cranked it up a notch to differ it from the first one. The first one was pretty tame compared to today's violent standards. I wish they showed more of Delta kickin Cuban ass though

I think they cranked it up about 10 notches

For example. At the very end where the bad guy gets shot...then what happens to him when he falls down. Totally unnecessary and for them to actually SHOW the stuff being blown around. Talk about Quake3 or Unreal Tournament level violence. The whole theatre just went "EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW." In fact, that's what most of the crowd was doing throughout the whole movie.

You'd think that you were listening in on an audience watching an American Movie instead of Bad Boys.

Don't get me wrong. I like violence. I'm all for shooting people up and beating the sh!t out of people, but some of the sequences seemed to go for more of a "gross out" factor.

the movie critics may hate this movie, but i loved it. even though it was a bit too long, it had some of the funniest scenes i have ever seen.

The scene in the video store where they were being filmed was classic :)

Or how about when Mike was "getting theropy" at the beginning of the movie?:p

Great movie!

We almost didn't go because of the horrible review ratings, but since our cable is currently out, we went anyway.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first one (I was young when it was released) but this one was great. The jokes were hilarious and the action was great, a much more "authentic" feel and look than most other movies. Some people may be grossed out, but not I.

9 for the Action
9 for the Comedy
3 for the Story

...but I didn't go for the story. :D

maybe i'm desensitized, but i didn't think the violence was that bad. :) not really extreme gore factor, limbs and holes, but not too much blood and bits.

was a nice dumb fun ride. just like pirates, i wouldn't watch it twice but i was never bored.

I saw it and loved it... it was really really good. Seems they are getting it right with many sequels this summer.

Lawrence and Smith are such Bafoons. Not sure if I want to waste my money on this.

But then again, they got my chocolate love Gabrielle Union in it.

The extra voilence didn't really bother me. I liked the fact that the director went all out on the action scenes, I'm pretty sure that took guts to do. Especially the scene in the morgue..very very cool. Also, the photography/camera angles was freaking awesome...and I liked the fact that they 're-grouped' and went to ...well I don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet...but I thought hte movie was awesome...I found it better than the first one by far. Anyone notice that Will Smith got a whole lot buffer for this movie?? Damn...I'm a big fan of him..so I liked it. Nice to see how difference he is from his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air days.

Well, like I said, it didn't really "bother me," it's just that some of the stuff was just a bit too much (when the subway train stopped b/c of you know what; running over the corpses, bad guys body blowing to giblets after being shot dead, blood dripping out of the bucket onto guys shoe at the bad guy's house).

All of that was just going a BIT too far IMHO. That being said, I still think it's the best movie I've seen this year, but I'd have to see this movie at leats 5 more times before I could proclaim it to be "better" than the first. I've seen the first one so many times that it's just like second nature to me.

Also, I nearly keeled over in the floor when the two rats were *&$#ing. LMFAO!!!!

"Man, they do it just like us!! Man, he's pile-drivin her!!!" :p:D

The movie was long, but the important thing is that it didn't seem like it was 2.5 hours. It kept me entertained ALL the way through, which is tough for a movie this long. IMO, the best part was the scene with the kid who was going to pick up that daughter. "you ludacris looking mothaf***a", lol...

Just saw it last night, and DAMN IT WAS GOOOOOOD... The violence might be over the top, but I havent' seen such a hardcore R film in a LONG time.. the car chasing scenes were GOOD. and like someone else said previously, the camera angles were awsome! The joke were wayyy off the hook (i like the store part, straight up hilarious!). That being said, those of you havent' watched it have to see it!

Yup. The whole slow motion, shoot from way down low while panning up camera action was SWEET.

And the scene towards the end where they "regroup" at the police station had some excellent camera work.

awesome movie... long senseless thrill ride. If you want to go watch a movie and not do a lot of thinking for about 3 hours this is the one!

How much was the budget on this thing? It must have been a lot because there was a LOT of action sequences.

yeah, EVERYTHING in that movie is real, no special or computer generated effects (from what I heard). That one mansion, they bought it just to blow it up. Forgot how much it cost, but it was quite a bit.

Some of that car chase stuff with the Ferrari dodging cars HAD to be computer generated. Would seem almost impossible otherwise.

are you sure there was no special effects? I mean it looked like there was some sort of computer assisted shots in the ferrari sequence. The ferrari seemed to have something done to it.

I was watching Extra or some entertainment program like that and they said most of everything in that car chase scene was actually real....of course some of the things were generated, like where the cars seem to go through the camera and such

Yeah, that is waht i meant to say, guess I was just in a hurry and had to be getting somewhere. But *most* of this movie is real, there are a few things (like the bullets, and parts of that car chase scene, and a few other things) that are cg. I thought the CG that they did have fit in the movie really well, and it came together much better than matrix 2.

Bad Boys 2 should have been named "Vice City: The Movie".

If you've seen it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

According to Will Smith on Leno, he said that there was no computer generated images in the movie (apart from the bullet shooting close up and small things like that). He emphasized car chase scenes were real (and he had it up to 110mph and was scared shitless as was Martin Lawnrence) and no damage occured to the Ferrari UNITL the end of the filming, when Martin Lawrence ran it into a pole (or something stupid like that).
