I'm fluent in Java, C++, C, C#, PHP, HTML, Perl, Haskell(if anyone really needs help....), SQL, Classic ASP

Not many people here probably care, but I've used just about every facet of MATLAB, including many of the toolboxes. I also have a basic knowledge of FORTRAN. I'm familiar with a few others (C#, VB, aspx), but other people here can cover those much better than I.

C, 8088 ASM (and subsequent variants), HTML.

My areas of study are computational geometry and physics, but at my level, that means tracing a 3D complex and potentially concave geometry to volumize it and determine some physical properties such as center of mass, percussion, moments of inertia, etc. I'm also starting study on mechanics, but I'm still basic at this point.

OSs: DOS, Linux, Windows.

I doubt anyone needs help with Cobol, but I work with Cobol, DB2, and JCL daily in the mainframe environment.

C, C++ some Fortran,

My area of study at the moment uses Molecular Dynamics Simulation. I've also got a little bit of experience with optimization, particularly genetic algorithms.

I think this is a great thread...and I have a small suggestion. Could we post the member names up top in alphabetical order? Sometimes we want to interface two languages and I think it would be a big help to quickly see which members might be proficient in both. On a side note, I'm also looking for some free lance work if anyone wants to check out the OT jobs thread. Over and out 🙂.

Don't let the high level languages fool you....my entry into a High School science fair was a computer that I wire wrapped myself. The Computer (6502? I can't remember the processor) was connected to a B&W terminal via rs232 and had FORTH on it.

I also learned 'programming' on an 808x programming kit not unlike those found Here (using a keypad to enter the program to make LED's do different things.

Programming in Java. Some other high level languages, plus a bit of C and assembly, but mainly Java.

Web technologies - HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript/DOM, etc.

Sysadmin and security.

Professional programmer for a small college. Proficient in PHP, C, perl, javascript, python, bash. I can hold my own with java, C#, ruby, etc.

My job focus is on script and report writing, with the focus shifting into application development (oracle forms and java).
