Interesting how Hip-Hop that closest resembles Hip-Hop's original formats & formulas is now referred to as "Alternative Hip-Hop."

I've been listening to a TON of Fabolous lately. He's a pretty damn good New York rapper he's kind of stuck on semi-famous, he's featured on some popular songs but he mostly does mixtapes, which IMHO are whats really important to keep hip hop alive. Record sales aren't everything! Anyway he does punch line songs but he also does serious shit too lol. I recommend The Soul Tape 1&2, There is No Competition 2&3. Always delivers..

I just downloaded his Soul Tape 2. Every song is awesome. My favorite would either be his rendition of Diced Pineapples or Beauty. Louis Vuitton a close third.

Been listening to Q-Tip all week.

He seriously was the only thing that was carrying ATCQ.

Wow, could not disagree more. Phife was/is WAY better; one of the best ever in my opinion. I like Q-Tip too, but I think Phife Dawg was far more skilled.

Phife's solo album had a couple good songs, but qtip was much better solo. Raw talent, though, I'd say I'd agree with you.
