Oh. I came in here earlier to post this, but forgot.

The Find Mag interviewed Souls of Mischief, and speculation of possible Souls of Mischief x The Pharcyde album! Would be sick.

Lastly – there’s been talk of the Souls of Mischief/The Pharcyde collaboration ‘Almyghty Myghty Pythons’ – I didn’t know if was a big hoax for music geeks, or if there was actually an album that you guys have waiting to come out?

Phesto: We do have a project that we were working on, but it’s not finished. So I think word got out – we put the single out and it got a lot of people hyped. We did that as a pre-cursor to the album, but the album never really got finished. We’ve been working on stuff though, so hopefully one day. I want it to come out – they started this petition on Facebook… It’s dope, so I’m hoping it comes out.
Opio: It’s sealed in a capsule somewhere… I mean, that’s my family – The Pharcyde – I still bill with them all the time whenever I go to L.A. or they come up to The Bay. So, that’s family right there – we came up together.
Phesto: We had fun making it too, it kind of started off as a one song thing and then we just kept doing stuff…
Opio: I think the more that people know and talk about it, and if the interest grows then it’ll definitely come out. The music is there, we do have a lot of material that we worked on, but it’s been a long time now since it was actually recorded. But, if people want to hear it then it’s going to come out.

Yep. Brother Ali always has good stuff.

I wanna go see De La Soul, Qwel & Maker, Buck 65 later this week, but am feeling like work will have me exhausted by then. I do need some city in my life though.

Just got reminded of one of my favorite jazz hip-hop producers working on a video game remix project. Gets me psyched up every time. If this what has been leaked so far, then the finished project will be well worth the wait.

I don't have much to add to this thread... I do like Kid Cudi / Dot da Genius' semi-recent CD "WZRD" --- allmusic lists it as Pop/Rock, Rap. Some songs are better than others. Definitely interesting sounds, though.

He's OK. He's cool. Saw him last summer when Del the Funky Homosapien came through town. Most of his set was more comedy schtick more than anything. But he was definitely great on hyping up a crowd.

As far a battling, I honestly prefer the written format used in KOTD, UW, Grindtime, and Smack.

If you are into battling, check out Dizaster, Pat Stay, Hollohan, Cortez, 24/7, Bender, Illmaculate, The Saurus, Arsonal da Rebel, Conceited, Hollow Da Don, T-Rex, Hitman Holla, QP, Soul Khan (good music too), Fresco, Real Deal, Ness Lee...all top tier battle rappers.
