Jigoku shoujo is getting a second wind, so to say. The show lost its initial appeal of spookiness and indirect satisfaction of revenge after a while, lacking a central theme to speak of. However, they are slowly, but deliberately progressing the story to bring it all together. Later episodes tend to include stories that are far from a struggle between the oppressor and the oppressed. Gotta love seeing those little twists to the plot here and there, but it just irks me to see that no matter how hard Hajime tries to stop the victims from contracting with Ai-ojyo, the knot eventually finds itself untied at the end
Eps13 gets another seal of approval, and its been great ever since. Even when the preview looks somewhat lukewarm, the actual episode manages to draw me in every time. Just 5 more eps to catch up with, might as well get it all done with today
