Hi guys!
I have been out for a while.
Just a heads up that there is a new BIOS out for the P5B Deluxe/WiFi, 1215.
It was released on 13th of July, just 10 days after the release of 1212.
Scooby Doo, from I have read it seems that your problem is related to drivers and Vista.
Those are one of the reasons that I have not jumped on Vista yet, besides the fact that it is a memory hogger.
Tlaloc, seems like you have the P5K not the P5B. And from what I have been reading the P5K does have some issue with the SATA ports. Might follow those threads that you posted on.
ad1c, are you having the BSODs? Go to My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Uncheck Automatically Restarts. And check if it is a BSOD or it just locks up. If you do get a BSOD it might be some setting related to your memory. Try to set them manually timings, voltage, etc.
Capitalizt, the FSB Termination does affect the stability of your system, set @ 1.40v. A good read for OC is this
thread in other forum. Check that out.
And I think you should try to hit the 3200 Mhz, if it is your target, not lowering the multi. Try to stay on the default multi.
quadcells, I don't know about the lastest poster here. But I think n7, Yoxxy, cmdrdredd, some of these guys have or had a Q6600 running on the P5B Deluxe WiFi.
I saw other running in other forums too.
