OK total noob question here...
I'm picking up a P4P800 and I'm confused how all the RAM is rated. The Kingston HyperX seems to be liked around here, so I'm thinking about:
KHX3200A/256 (PC3200) CAS Latency 2 (2-3-2-6-1T)
or
KHX3200/256 (PC3200) CAS Latency 2 (2-2-2-6-1T)
The first one is $10 cheaper. Since the second digit is a "3", so does that mean that the RAM is that much slower?
Now this is where I get REALLY confused. The HyperX PC3500 which a lot of people use here is listed as (2-3-3-7-1T). Does that mean if I ran it DDR400 it would be SLOWER because it is (2-3-3-7-1T) instead of (2-2-2-6-1T)?
I guess I'm just confused about all the memory timings. Last time I bough RAM I didn't have to worry about any of this stuff.
