1006 updates the bios boot block which all the other bios released so far do not. That is the "crash-proof" part of the bios that allows recocery in a case of "flashing screwupitis". Go back and flash 1006 EXACTLY as the instructions say. Do not use EZ Flash or AFUDOS to do so. If you have any questions please ask.
Of course before flashing set Bios to load defaults....
