I don't see how he can better the situation.

I dont see how either.

maybe he can unburst the internet bubble and have the rest of the country throw money at absurd startups again! right! maybe his republican philosophy can mend our budget by doing.. um...oh never mind, the republican candidates don't have any solutions. note that almost all the states have deficits, and half of those are already headed by republicans. not to mention our president is digging a financial holes for the country quite well. bush not stepping in with firc when the state was being raped by enron etc. he protected his fundraiser buddies instead. seems like repubs are out to do ca harm. seems the republican philosophy would do squat.

or maybe in a state dominated by democrats, and VERY angry ones if he were elected would just roll over for him eh?

funny how the repubs say they are doing this for the state when the political tourmoil they've created is going to cost us 40 million in election costs alone, and has contributed to our credit rating being lowered over and over leading to even more debt.

abusing a process where only 12?% of voters need to sign to get a governor recalled is absurd. its supposed to used for high crimes. a process where a new governor can be elected with a tiny tiny % of the vote, how democratic.

In any other state Arnold would be called a democrat by conservatives, but republicans will take what they can get in Cali, a liberal republican ie: a moderate. If it was so undemocratic, then how come its the first time its actually happened in CA?

IMHO anyone can do better than Davis at this point. In any event expect Davis and democrat lackeys to start their dirty campaigns tomorrow or sooner.

Wow Arnie for gov! Next thing ya know he'll be running for president and then this scandal will break out and he'll be saying I can't recall at this time, while some high up government guy will be saying things like. "Yes, did I get them all?" when asked about shredding documents. :p

Too bad he can't run for president though.....he would have to have been born in the U.S.

But anyway, Arnold would probably be 10x the governor Gray Davis is. Too bad I'm in Cali or else I'd vote for him

I agree , looking at the data on Davis, he is a complete and total train wreck. Go Terminator Go.:cool::beer:

He is probably the least corrupted person in the race. He doesn't need money from corporations.

It's like Jesse Venture all over again. I won't be the least bit surprised if he wins. And if he does, that will make two actors from "Predator" who later went on to become governers. Wouldn't that be funny?

Arnold already has money, and lots of it, so he will not be influenced by special interest groups. However, I think people wants to get Davis out of office more then they want to see Arnold in office.

I'm voting for Arnold also and I truly believe he will win. Honestly, how can the other candidates bash him if all his dirty laundry has already been aired out by tabloids?

Have you not been paying attention to the mass destruction that Gay Davis has been laying upon our economy? Please leave California now. Mexico is down the hall, first door on the left.

At least if Arnold gets elected he has the influence, ideals, and philosophy not to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on electricity we don't need.

In fact, anybody with half a brain can "better the situation" because Davis has done nothing positive in recent memory for Californians. He's a total joke.
I'm glad to see you're still spewing the same bigoted homophobic name-calling. If Arnold were only to do the same, I'm sure the Bay Area would vote for him in droves as they did for Bill Simon.

Apparently, you're the type of partisan voter who would slam Davis for fumbling the energy crisis, but not place equal fault on former Gov. Pete Wilson, who championed the flawed energy deregulation plan that got passed by the legislature. Yes, the cost of the energy crisis is brutal, but at least the state kept the power running even as we were being raped by electricity producers and a FERC agency that wouldn't intervene. Some analysts literally predicted widespread chaos and economic disaster would ensue once rolling blackouts became a daily ritual during the hot summer months. I can only guess you don't think Democrat-voting citizens deserve electricity, since it's unnecessary.

Now if you want to fault Davis with specific mistakes (of which I'm sure the list is long and delicious), rather than just spew cheap punchlines with no argument, then at least you'd be able to convince others that you're correct. Otherwise, you're just another disgruntled Republican who couldn't get Bill Simon in the front door by winning a popular election, and now want to sneak Arnold in through a broken window.

"I know they're going to throw everything at me, (that) I have no experience, (that) I'm a womanizer and a terrible guy. You all know that Gray Davis knows how to run a dirty campaign better than anyone but he doesn't know how to run a state. I will promise you when I go up to Sacramento, I will pump Sacramento up."
