5,000 protestors are still blocking traffic downtown.
They claim they'll be protesting as long as there are troops engaging The Iraqi's.....
<edit> They've closed Geary St and there is no MUNI service down Market or Mission....

Channel 2 coverage....
<edit Tuesday....> They decided to stay home until later.....

Once they get tired and/or their parents tell them to come home, it will clear up.

That's right. I'm sure the cops would look the other way and say "we didn't see anything." ;)

Best thing to do, go and start shouting "bare boobs for peace"! Maybe you'll get to see some anti-war boobies.

When will they learn? Why don't they form a ring around the Pentagon or someplace remotely militarily-related?

"Hmmm...our military is fighting in Iraq and I hate my government for it so I'll stand in the middle of a major urban intersection and disrupt business for companies completely unrelated to the reasons why I'm pi**ed off!"

"Oh, and I won't offer up any decent alternative solutions either...I can't be bothered with thinking right now."

did you see some of the protestors were sitting on peoples hoods...I would have put the pedal to the metal if some asswipe did that.

the irony is these people are protesting for a country that doesn't allow protesting.

Another thing I find interesting is these people are just protesting against the war. I've never seen them out there protesting for Hussein to leave Iraq, or protesting for the Iraqi citizens to be liberated.

Yeah...these should be called what they really are:

"Anti-Bush rallies by ticked off Liberals"

Has any one of these rallies even offered up any kind of semblance of an alternative solution to removing Saddam?
