Did not really specify what I wanted, just anything computer/tech related.
Received this one and a Pokemon toy (no pics). Thanks SS. :awe:

wow, is there a budget for SS?
Sure is: "How ever much overboard you think you want to go with."

With that said, thanks SS! I didn't take pics yet (been too busy with the family), but I received a Buffalo Bills T-Shirt and the book "How to Grill" by Steven Raichlen (ISBN 978-0-7611-2014-8). It's not so much a "How to grill" book, but more of a "Methods and recipes to grill just about everything under the sun" book. I love grilling, and in fact we had grilled steak and shrimp for Christmas dinner. Thanks Secret Santa!

I received mine today. It is definitely something that I can use. My old 2GB just wasn't cutting it anymore. Thank you SS!

Thanks SS! When I opened the mailing package, I thought to myself "Ooo, yet another power supply. Wish it was PC Power and Cooling, but oh well."
As I opened the box...

Please adjust pics to a more friendly 1024x or 800x. You can use these if you want, I resized them:

SS02.jpg
SS03.jpg

BTW, I don't see the USB card reader, CR2032 batts, hi-gain antenna, and LED flashlight? :p

Heh sorry about not resizing them, I'll do that shortly. So used to my greasemonkey script auto-resizing everything for me. I didn't see a USB card reader in the three boxes that you sent me. I did get the batteries, hi-gain antenna and LED flashlight though. I must've accidentally cropped them out of the picture.

Oh and thanks a ton :). There are actually a few parts that I was going to purchase from microcenter/newegg the day after Christmas. I really like the mousepad too it even matches the lighting from the rest of my LEDs in the area (monitor, keyboard, and some other lights). Not sure what happened to the card reader though. I did thoroughly go through each box and empty out all of the packing peanuts.

Bummer, I must have forgot to put the card reader in. Sorry about sending you some of my unwanted stuff, but I'm glad you liked it. I could have sent you another two or three boxes but I had to draw the line somewhere. haha

BTW, I wouldn't use the NiMH AA batts that are included with the charger for any mission critical purpose. The ones I had (I bought two of these kits) didn't last nearly as long as they should have for their advertised capacity. That charger seems to get pretty hot, too.

Hehe, I don't mind getting the spare parts at all. I'll use most of them and it's always handy to have other spare parts around. I'm not too surprised that the charger gets hot though. From what I've read on various NiMH chargers the faster they charge the warmer the batteries tend to get. Thanks for the warning about the batteries, I planned on getting some more Eneloops anyways.

Post your pictures and stories here!

Here's mine:

Open the box:

I open the open now box and there is something that is cold in there. Turns out I received a dwight schrute stapler in red jello and spending money:

I then waited around awhile and then opened the remaining presents (couldn't wait):

Bears tool bag, slingshot monkey, staples for my stapler and replacement jello!

Thank you very much secret santa:D

You're welcome!

Did the Jello turn out alright? I was a bit worried about sending it, but I thought it would be funny if it came through alright. Since you liked the Office and it went with my name, I thought I'd give it a shot :p

My Santa was awesome :) He/she got me 3 great gifts:

1) "Moose Munch" Peanut Butter Chocolate Coffee - already finished it, and it was very good. Love chocolate and coffee, and it was perfect drink over Christmas :)

2) "Dictator Style: Lifestyles of the Worlds' Most Colorful Despots" - still reading. Really fascinating, especially the insights into who these men were judging by their homes and choice in furnishings. Saddam, for instance, had some fantasy paintings (you know the type, the kind of stuff you see on older sci-fi/fantasy works with ultra buff heroes, dragons, and scantily clad women), but most of his homes were simply facades (think "Arrested Development" model home, lol) to keep up appearances. A lot of the dictators had living spaces tailored to whatever image they were trying to project. Hitler was an evil, evil man and a slaughterer of the innocent, but I have to admit I think his "digs" were pretty tasteful.

3) "Rome: The Complete First Season" - I was actually meaning to get this myself, but never got around to it. Saw the first episode a couple months ago, but have been postponing watching more until I was done watching other stuff (I now am). I've heard nothing but good reviews about this series, and I loved Kevin McKidd in "Journeyman". I also have a relatively new passion for learning about ancient history, so this makes the gift even more perfect.

I absolutely love the gifts, Santa  Thank you!!!

Thanks SS! I got my first month of the beer of the month thing today. 4 types of beer, 3 bottles each.

At a curiosity, is there anyway to change the future shipping address? I'm only at home for the next few days (and won't be back in NY until at least end of March) and would if possible like if they were shipped to my address in Chicago.

My camera seems to have died and the two crappy pictures I have from my girlfriend are not worth posting, however my gift was awesome!

I got the following:

Lord of War (Blu-ray)
Public Enemies (Blu-ray)
1 jar of Baconnaise (I had a toasted tomato and baconnaise sammich the day I got it!)
A lovely picture of my santafied Wildcat avatar in a nice Hello Kitty frame (hilarious)
A letter basically asking for clemency from the moderators, which I have forwarded on to the higher ups for discussion. :sneaky:

Awesome stuff Secret Santa, loved it! Thanks! :awe:

Now I have to buy myself that Leatherman from my wish list :p
Maybe I made my list too hard to find, since nobody else got me one either ;)

From my Infocus 4805 days, I remember that Gladiator is one of my better looking DVDs, so I'm excited to see how the Blu-ray turned out. According to AVSforum's Tier list, it's only average, but average for Blu-ray should still look a heck of a lot better than DVD on my screen size!

Thanks!
