Fiscally responsible and stable governments? Must be why my VGK is turning into the best performer in my portfolio

So I'm dipping the toes back into "day-ish" trading.

Monday went well. Bought MSTR at 403 and ended up selling at 410. I'll take a $700 day trade any day of the week.

Yesterday not so much. D was up $2.50 a share so I bought some and it immediately fell. Oh well. It pays 5 percent dividend so I can hold until it goes back up.

Today I bought 400 shares of NET at around 58.50. When it wavered at 159 I decided to sell the 160 calls for Friday and got $800. That's decent. If it gets called away I'll clear around $1400.

I own Nebius group and senior moments abound because I can't recall buying it or ever even researching it. My history indicates I bought it a few years ago at $13 a share. Maybe I read one of those "5 stocks to buy and hold for 10 years" articles lol.

In any case - it's doing well.

The Danish index hasn't been doing so well, and we are only 6 mio people. Most likely it's because Germany has decided to do something about their debt brake and major investment in military/car industry which Denmark has none.

And for a long time Euro stocks has been less than ideal, so with investors diversifying away from US, will make stocks rise everywhere else.

But, as a private citizen and for companies, it's pretty nice with economic stability and fiscal responsibility.

Bought 1 share of FNMA. First time I traded this since 2008.
I'm holding a few hundred shares FMCC since 2009. I had sold most of it when I hit 2x. Not sure now how long to hold. If it goes private, what kind of valuation can we expect?

EDIT: Wow there's a whole subreddit dedicated to this. Their target ranges from $20-40 if the government warrants are executed and over $100 if they aren't.

Gotta be sitting on a ton of toxic mortgages ready to burst, no?

Toxic mortgages when home prices are down = terrible. Toxic mortgages when prices are way up like now = foreclose and sell at profit.

The bigger issue is that we've tried public ownership of the mortgage system before. That was an unmitigated disaster (this was a large cause of the great depression). We made Fannie and Freddie for very good reasons--to bring stability to the housing market and have 30-year mortgages instead of balloon payments that come due at any signs of economic weakness.

Trump: '1,000% Tariffs unless they also give us star ships and weapons technology"

The aliens refuse, withdraw all offers, and leave.

Trump: "Wait! We will put tariffs on hold!"

How about that stock market? The volatility short crowd just never quits.

I got my money back and a little bit from Broadcom..

That was quite a trip for $4700.. it became $3100.. but when it became $4715.00 I cashed out..

I'm still down 10% in GOOGL/ AMZN but atleast now I'm feeling a lot better.. I am planning to go ETF's when I see an opportunity.

Learned a lot over the last 5 months.. FOMO hurts more than it helps!

Glad to hear you got your money back and did not panic sell like I probably would have. 😉 Guess its good when you buy a great company as you can just hold on to them until you break even or better. I see the same for Google and Amazon one day.
