Anyone have uranium/nuclear stocks? It seems like the world is starting to understand that nuclear will be necessary for the transition to renewables.

If you are looking to get into uranium, you may have missed your opportunity. Cameco (CCJ) and the URA ETF are up >150% from the lows. Meanwhile more nuclear reactors are being taken down than stood up. And I keep reading that the future of nuclear isn't uranium but Thorium. Its very hard to get into the sector because there are too many unknowns.

Being that EVs will be hogging all the electricity in the future, the more power we can make, the better. Our future may be an ongoing nightmare of rolling blackouts thanks to our lack of foresight. Nuclear waste is better for the environment than burning fossil fuels to get around, amiright?

Global X Uranium ETF (URA)

I also find this interesting:

VanEck Vectors Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX)

Wait...you are telling me stonks go up and down? And that we are already 7% off the 52 week high on the QQQ which is by definition a near technical correction?

I heard some Bloomberg smarty-pants people say we'll get to a correction when the NASDAQ goes between 14500-14600. Nearly there.

Whenever I feel low as the markets go low, I tell myself It could be worse, I could be holding PTON.

And if you’re holding PTON, just tell yourself it could be even worse than that. Could be holding LMND

It's easy to laugh at all those who lost money chasing PTON all the way down, but I remember the same thing happening to Amazon in year 2000. You had a very dead stock for years buying that dip. That includes Apple by the way...it nearly bit the dust when iMac sales fell off.

I remember most stocks were dead money from 2000 to 2002. Then the economy finally took off and the greatest housing finance bubble in all of human history was underway culminating in the complete collapse and bankruptcy of more banks that failed during the 1930s.

Of course I'm not comparing PTON to Apple and Amazon directly, but that wild chart and 80% crash in one year sure brings back the ghosts of market bubbles past.

And you never know, PTON might reinvent itself or get acquired and turn around one day. For now though I would not buy.

Didn't that get down around $50? I remember Netflix being there too and everybody expected the company to fold within weeks.

Wish I'd have bought about $500 of each now.
