Another weird day. That wanted to crash it, but since Bezocorp was up 15% it dragged the Nasdaq hack up kicking and screaming, vowing revenge on Monday.

Increased my total investments by 60% during this dip. (so hopefully it won't go much lower)
All investments are in index funds.

They announced higher prices for PRIME which will add a lot more money. The market rarely trades on fundamentals. Its all about the trend.

That's what I mean... the trend is downward. If this continues I wonder how long it'll be before Wall Street demands that Amazon spin off AWS.

PTON jumped 30% in after hour rumours of an Amazon acquisition.

I think these are the same jokers that bought call options on Pinterest then spread a rumor Paypal was interested. Paypal denied the rumor.

Why do people fall for this?

Chapottle is up 7%. They are raising prices again. Seems like a reoccurring theme on these earnings reports.

I just want to get back to par on the few mutuals I bought a couple of months ago. They had been 'up' 25-30% for the year when I bought, but they've been more down than up since.

There is this mysterious force called inflation. Scientists don't really know what it is. Kind of like magnets. Nobody knows how they work. The only thing measurable is it's size. Inflation embiggened to 7.5% year over year.

That's real bad news because it will only embolden Hawks at the Fed, if there are any.

Ooh nice, the current odds now have a double hike as the heavy favorite. I'd love to see them do that just for the lols.

Don't know if you have noticed, but the spread between ARM and fixed mortages has gotten to the point where ARM will be popular again as long as it lasts.

Russia invades Ukraine. Stocks slide further.

Could be bullish if that is the excuse the Fed needs.

ARM loans only make sense when rates are high and going lower as they reset to lower rates in the future and you do not plan to stay in your home long enough for a fixed rate to make sense.

The spread between 30 fixed and 10/1 is getting pretty wide. Maybe a full point.

I have an adjustable for a piece of equipment. It's currently at 2.4something% and their fixed rate is just a bit over 4%

I only have about 13-14 months left before it's paid off and interest is only running in the $15 range now that the principle is low. If they kick the rate up more than just a bit, I'll probably just pay it off and save several months interest.

If I was a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, I would think that some billionaire hedge fund investors called up one of Putin's buddies and asked him to move a bunch of tanks next to the Ukraine boarder so they could cause a market panic. Bonus points if you plant a rumor that you're going to ban crypto around the same time as well.

Seems like a rather unique way of being able to buy the dip! It's too bad that we can't view the trade history of Putin's buddies to see if it was true.
