That big vote in Italy is apparently coming up in a few weeks on December 4. Something about constitution reform, so it's not an Italexit/Itexit vote -- directly, at least. Oh, and their bank crisis still hasn't been solved, but who gives a shit about details like that.
Edit: Tired of the "markets are setting new records" headline. That's funny because only the DOW 30 is. S&P 500 and NASDAQ barely above early 2015 peaks -- ignoring 1.5 years of inflation. DAX and FTSE 5% or more below 2015 peaks. NIKKEI and Shanghai... lol.

I was so fascinated by this insane rise that I checked it out... It's lost 99% of its value from like 2 years ago. It's lost 99.99999999999999% of its value from 2007.

Just so we are not shocked again, I think DRYS hits $80 before the end of the week. Since the move from $4 to $40 in three business days made no sense, why not $80?

Why not? While I doubt there is a real argument right now for this thing returning back to it's high of ~$150k (

). I could have doubled my annual salary by selling off my current brokerage value for a ~week play in DRYS.

I've been watching DRYS since 2008. The CEO Economou is NOTORIOS for running DRYs into the ground.
Assuming the price holds, and knowing Economou's past, I would be the farm that a secondary offering will be announced.

If your current balance is over $25,000 the pattern day trader rule wont stop you (as long as you keep the balance over $25K). Also, you can get a one time waiver from your broker to remove the status, assuming you want to spend that money!

Also, my $8 buy on NUGT is going well. Current trade is $9.40. I sold the stock and bought some December 2, $9 calls for $1150.

Yes, any ridiculous price is possible.
But be careful what you wish for. After 20 years of trading, there is one thing that I know always holds true - money made by speculation is usually money lost by speculation.

Oh, I agree! I firmly believe that no one knows anything about anything. In this world, brilliance only exists in hindsight or pure luck.
I'm feeling that this thing is getting to the point where I *could have* traded in my current meek brokerage offering, and maybe in a week this value would put me at my planned early retirement goal...about 10 year early.
