Yes, the Colts are bad, but I don't think what you said is totally fair - the Jets defense played a big role in how the Colts played.

You're right about one thing, I didn't exactly pay attention to their moves, but they did start 0-2 last season and won the division.

As I understood from last night, they have a re-, re-built O-line as well, and Johnson and Gore need time to mesh.

That fumble was a killer though, the one Gore had.

A note from one of the fans present at the Buffalo game this past week. Regarding when Aaron Williams got taken off by ambulance after getting injured trying to stop a TD by Edelman:

I have seats right on the 48yl on the visitor’s side. While the EMTs were attending to A Williams several Bills players were down on one knee. I noticed that only one Patriot was doing the same. It as Edelman. I then watched Belichick walk all the way down the sideline to address Edelman and make him stand up. Just classless. I was sitting behind a Pats fan who saw the same thing. He was embarrassed by it. I don’t know if there is video anywhere of this, but it was a little insight to the temperament of the "genius". He’s a POS.

On a side note, it looks like Buffalo might have gotten the better end of the McCoy/Alonso trade at this point. A semi-functional RB with a tweaked hammy for a great ILB with a perpetually torn ACL. Alonso's career might be over soon.

Oh boy, this isn't going to end well - Pagano taking shots not only at Luck, but at the Colts front office. And they deny there is tension between Pagano and Grigson:

Pagano on Luck and #colts leaky O-line: 'Been the case for 3 years now, has it not? Should be more than comfortable dealing with (it).'

LOL! Should've kept Bruce Arians....

My head was spinning at all the moves Chip made in the off season. I didn't know what to think, as each audacious gamble had its huge pros and cons. The only moves I absolutely didn't like were his releasing Herremans and Mathis, and trading Boykin for a low round draft choice. He should have kept all three.

But the bigger moves, yeah, each had the potential for disaster. But I'm not going to join the angry peasants with pitchforks after the fact (not referencing you, Mr. D.)

Any Eagles fan who now says they were comfortable thinking Nick Foles was ever going to lead the Birds past the first round of the playoffs is spouting revisionist history, imho.

Chip went for it. I can't vouch for his wisdom, but I can vouch for his willingness to take huge risks to try and reach the top of the mountain. There's no trophy for second place. Go big or go home.

It's still a tad premature to hold a funeral service -- <Python voice> I'm not dead yet! </Python voice> -- but we might just be going home.

Them's tha breaks, sports fans. 😛

Looking through those twitter quotes reminds me how much I hate front-running fans like those now dumping on Andrew Luck.

I feel the same way about Sam Bradford. Especially a Sam Bramford that has blown out the same knee twice now. I thought he was just slightly above mediocre *before* the injuries. I just couldn't fathom why anyone would actively try and get him after them. He doesn't have a great arm. Doesn't look that great under pressure. Has little mobility. Eh. I just don't get the need to shake it up for the sake of shaking it up.

Not sure if you follow the Eagles or not, but Foles had lost his job to Mark Sanchez.

WTF why would a coach go so far as to tell a guy to stand up while taking a knee, i.e. showing concern for a player from another team? I mean asshole or not, that's like high level's of how can I go out of my way to be a fucking jerk.

Luck will be fine, I'm not worried about him at all -- well, except for the fact that he may be dead soon at the rate he is getting hit. Any "fan" blaming Luck solely for this disaster is an idiot. Yes, he played poorly for sure, but that was as much due to the Jets' great defensive play and lack of protection as it was anything else. I still wouldn't take any other QB in the league over him at this point - Rodgers is definitely better but is also several years older.

I'm accustomed to bad offensive line play, but I don't think I can recall seeing him brutalized like he has been these past two weeks. These jokers have had 3 drafts and 3 offseasons to build the offensive line and what have they done? Signed one guy - Herremans - while drafting yet another wide receiver in the first round this past draft. I mean, SERIOUSLY?!?!?! I'm really shocked Pagano called the front office out like that and that completely invalidates his (and management's) assertions that there is no friction between him and Grigson. It is very obvious at this stage.

Of course, it isn't ALL the players either - there were obvious issues with blitz pickups in last night's game and I have to attribute that to coaching. At the end of the day, the coaches and GM are accountable for how this team is performing.

Foles did break his collar bone. Not like that was an active choice. Kelly retooled around Sanchez. He's a more athletic guy and a better fit for what Kelly wanted. And then he went and replaced him with a guy that's only slightly more mobile than Foles but with a quicker release.

Skins have a solid O-line. I'm sure he'd be really happy there. 🙂

Remember that this anecdote is coming from a Bill's fan

I dunno. Belichick is just a "stand up" kind of guy I guess.

Yeah, totally going to believe that. Find another source (not ESPN) and we can have a discussion.

No, the Colts looked bad. Look at that Gore TD fumble. The amount of turnovers. They may get better, but they need more creativity of O as well. Of your line sux, you can't have Luck standing there for 10 seconds waiting for deep bombs.

Foles was healthy and ready to go by week 16 or 17 IIRC. Chip stuck with Sanchez.

Reread what I wrote. Carefully this time.

The point is that Luck can't just stand there due to the porous o-line, and you need to plan around that limitation.

Exactly, and points to what I said earlier - Pagano has been embarrassingly outcoached this season, and this guy was never exactly Bill Walsh to begin with.
