A damn shame. Ah well the US had a pretty damn solid tournament and were super close here too. No need to hang your heads.

Bummer. Although given that the US wasn't expected to make it out of group play, not a bad result. Belgium was vastly superior throughout that game; well-earned win.

Very impressive reaction by USA after 2-0 when everyone expected them to just give up, but yeah, the win went to the better team

I was shaking in my seat watching those last 15 minutes, holy crap, and I dont even "care" about either team... What a game, easily one of the best football games Ive ever watched

If the average american watches this and still thinks football is boring, they are hopeless

I think it's pretty impressive actually, considering soccer is not even a major sport in the US and it is the major sport in most other competing countries. Would be nice to see it become more popular here.

So, it is pretty clear Belgium paid Fifa and the refs in waffles for that 1 minute bullshit. Had the US failed to attack like the in normal time, I'd be okay. But, they were clearly continuing to attack and get shots.

US was getting some of the Belgium medicine at the end: chance after chance not getting in.

I was surprised Lukaku wasn't starting, he started every game so far. He hadn't scored, so maybe that's why. Granted, he was fresh compared to most other players...

As I said yesterday, Belgium vs Argentina will be interesting, it would be no surprise to see Argentina out.
