Honestly, the two goals that Portugal got was all US doings. The first one was because of whatever his name US defender passed a perfect pass to a Portugal player. The second one was because Bradley failed to score a wide open goal, which would neutralize the other Portugal's goal...

And the US got some help from the linesman for the second goal. The player who crossed the ball in the first time got it in an offside position.

Michael Bradley has been awful this tournament.

Agreed. Hesitating and losing balls passed to him, making poor pass decisions, and I forget what it was exactly he did but it was what turned the ball over at midfield and lead to Portugal's equalizer. Have not been thrilled with his play at all.

Think this stat really summed up our attacking...we have the potential but cant deliver...Got to at least get some first time balls instead of fighting for the second or third touches.

Completed Crosses
USA 0 out of 14

of note though
Portugal 1-1
So least we did a good job of shutting down the wing against Portugal. minus the obvious last minute goal cross

Devastating game yesterday. Giving up a bad early score. A good job of pelting the net for the next 75+ minutes to even and then take the lead. Then decide to spend most of the remainder of the game kicking the ball back to your goal giving way too many opportunities for portugal to steal a pass then drive for a good shot.

When Klinnsman decided to sub on Gonzalez for Zusi, and bunker for the remainder is when we sealed a draw. Bunkering never, ever, works for us. Our backline has always been a weak link, especially when overwhelmed with action, and the best defense for our team is to continue attacking the opponent's net.

The fact that Klinsmann is german makes me 99% sure they will agree on forcing a draw, as shady as it might seem
Lets face it, why wouldnt they? Not only do they instantly qualify but the players also get to rest a bit before the round of 16

There is a good chance that it may be a dull draw. Germany get to top the group. What more do they want. The U.S. gets to qualify, which is more than most people expected of them in this group. Works for both the teams. It would be a shame though

Games this morning were pretty irrelevant (Dutch winning the group seemed inevitable), but really looking forward to this Croatia-Mexico match.

No agreement needed, and no shadiness. Do what is best for the team - If it means maxed out defence, then so be it. Like when you have an insurmountable lead in "American football," there is no sense in taking risks on offence.

Because, if ze Germans show up to win, bunkering for 90+ minutes and allowing them to enjoy a shooting gallery basically won't work out for us. Our defense isn't good enough.

I figured it out, every player on both teams except Michael Bradley will pull a groin and be ruled out for the game. MB will try to score for 90 minutes but fail and the game will end in a 0-0 tie, and no one can say that they didnt try their hardest.

I guess you guys are watch the Croatia vs Mexico game? I'm watching the Cameroon vs Brazil game. Cameroon is playing well and is giving Brazil problems defensively. Brazil leads 2-1

Actually the game will end 1-0 Germany after you factor in the MB own goal
