The African teams have been looking poor in front of goal so far this World Cup. All seem to be suffering from poor crosses into the box and haven't really been goal threats.
 
3 points in your first game means an 85% chance but...I still have this weird feeling we're not gonna move on. That was brutal play by USA most of the game.
 
if we can get a draw against Portugal, that should get us through to the next round.

Germany will beat Ghana eliminating them, and if Portugal beats Ghana, we would just need to win goal differential against Portugal and it is currently -4 for Portugal and +1 for the USA.

So we would really need to get blown out by Germany or Portugal would need to blow out Ghana and I don't see either happening.
 
Fuck yeah! Brooks FTW. This game will prepare them for the next one but I like this team and their play a lot.

What an awesome finish! Epic game. Watch out for Jóhannsson once he plays with more confidence, ability is definitely there.

With Germany's destruction of Portugal, a tie in the next game would seem to all but guarantee a berth in the knockout stage, no? Unless Portugal manages to beat Ghana by 4 or the US also gets destroyed...
