and in a few years they'll be well into the luxury tax rates, afaik. that can be very pricey.

If Bosh takes max, that's Howard's 21mm, Bosh's 20mm and Harden's 15mm ... supposedly they will match Parsons, so that will be 15mm as well. That's luxury tax right there - and expect Beverley to want to get paid as well.

Bosh just said he signed a 5 year max money deal to stay with the Heat. I wonder what the fuck Riley has up his sleeve, something else big besides James leaving must have happened for Bosh to still stay.

5 year max money

But he could have gotten max money on a different team with a better shot of winning. Heat without James don't even make the playoffs unless they sign someone big.

Lol wut? You realize the 38-44 Atlanta Hawks made the Eastern Conference playoffs right? They don't even have to win half their games... Now, do I think they go further than the first round without a serious addition? Not a chance.

It wouldn't have been a 5 year deal - that's worth another $20mm.

Looks like Bosh has agreed to stay in Miami. I'm guessing Houston is going to be quick to sign that Parsons offer sheet; they don't want to come away from the free agent grab empty-handed AND lose Parsons in the process. He's getting overpaid, but he's been a pretty vital part of a team that is certainly in a good spot to make waves in the West.
