Guess that just depends on the team and what they're capable of doing in terms of managing his minutes and body.

I agree, but a team with that kind of sense and patience also knows by providing that and a championship caliber roster that accommodates it can manage to get him for $7M for four years. You can pay him $20M for two, but he'd be better off securing that extra $8. Or he can cash out big with a crappy team that wants to be better than it is.

I think all the Lebron/Cavs noise is just that. Noise. I can't see him going back, mostly because the Cavs can't run a team but also because of Dan Gilbert. I think Lebron is working to ensure the Heat and Bosh and Wade fall in line. Bosh won't sign with the Rockets unless Lebron goes somewhere else.

If I'm wrong and Bosh goes to Houston, the Heat can swing Lebron and Melo, assuming Melo hasn't signed at that point.

Danny Granger to the Heat for 2 years, 4.2 million. Now that's a cheap, quality pickup. I'd take 8 of him of the cost of 1 Carmelo 😛

That's hard to believe Granger would sign for so little. All I can say is Riley must give a helluva bj.

Granger hasn't been the same since his injury. Pretty sure not many GMs are going to be chasing him with big money until he's had a chance to prove he can regain some of that early brilliance. And if the Big 3 stay in Miami and Granger gets some deep playoff runs under his belt (and plays near his old form), he's looking at a big contract in a few years. If the Big 3 split, well.... who knows? 2008-10 Granger is way better than 2013-14 Wade, so maybe they'll get some brilliance from him.

Bosh to the Rocket's is a scary move. Him and Howard combined with Hardin is a very hard to defend combo. Plus that's some serious length on the other end of the court to contest with.

Yup they will be able to spread the floor better. They will be a better team with Bosh. Great defense like you said.

Good point. And players tend to look better when contributing to a winning team than to a losing one. Too bad miami will ultimately be a losing one when they don't win another title. 😛

Gordon Hayward got a max deal from .... Charlotte!
Now Utah has to make a decision in 3 days....i say they let him walk

Lebron meeting with Pat Riley today. That is probably good for the Heat, as I'm sure Pat can sell Lebron on another 4 years, even if it costs him max. Numbers wise, they could easily pay Lebron and Bosh max if Wade took a cut and have a decent enough team. Resembling a lot of what they had last year though.

Why not, he's got everything an organization could want representing them...except for elite talent of course. 😵

No question it makes them better but a max deal for him is absurd.

It's MJ!! The guy that drafted Kwame Brown #1 overall..took Adam Morrison lottery...among others

No sh!t. At some point one has to learn from their experiences or gtfo. Supposedly he's learned to give up more control, but as strong as his personality is, I don't see him not having a great deal of influence.

Lebron is in a no win situation afaic. If he signs with Miami, he's a troll for dragging it out to the end like the attention whore b!tch that he is, while affecting lots of teams signings, and teasing other teams' in the process with the faux premise there's a chance he may not re-sign in Miami.

If he doesn't sign with Miami, he's a coward for losing in the finals and having not determination and not anti-ing up for his teammates and team to get back what they lost. Imagine if Magic bailed once he lost in the finals, or if Bird bailed once he tasted victory then lost. For that matter, what if Duncan or Ginobili retired last year because they lost in the finals.

So in the wake of The Indecision #2...let me be the first (or millionth) to say, Lebron, you suck. 😛

I have been saying since the cavs got Kyrie he should come home, still sporting that avatar. Landing Wiggins with that 1.7 percent chance was huge! Also Miami getting eviscerated in the finals with nobody stepping up helped a lot.

Cavs cleared the deck today and can offer LeBron a full max contract with money to spare. I think it's happening and I think it happens tomorrow, I really do.

Rockets are in a bind. That deal for asik hasn't gone through because new Orleans hasn't cleared the cap space to absorb him. Also they need a team under the cap to absorb Lon like cleveland found in the three way for Jarrett jack.

It won't be easy to move him because teams know they have morey over a barrel, much like cavs predicament with Jarrett Jack.

Also Chandler parsons signed an offer sheet, they have three days to match or they lose him. They have to clear enough room for bosh by ridding of lin, new orleans creating cap space all within three days. If they match parsons before all of this they cannot make bosh that offer.

If anything him on the market (if there's a wink-wink deal with Miami) helps the Heat because Lebron is the caliber of player that forces almost every other team to take him into consideration - no matter how crazy it sounds. Him on the market paralyzes other teams and buys Miami time (assuming he's staying).

But the dude was on a boat fishing for a week letting his agent do all the work - shit if I was him I wouldn't do anything without thoroughly weighing my options, the next contract could quite possibly be the last one he signs in his prime (Lebron is Lebron but all the same he'll probably be 33-34 years old whenever his next deal expires).

Lebron gets shit no matter what. He makes a huge deal about free agency and leaves Cleveland; everyone hates it. He opts out and lets his agent meet with teams and give him the best of the offers to consider; everyone hates him. He won't leave the spotlight; every move he makes effects every team, as he is the best player in the league.

Regardless of that, everyone is expecting word soon since Bosh is likely going to the Rockets if Lebron leaves (and has like 3 days as of this morning) and he is planning on going to watch the WC finals, so it will be before that.

Must be getting interesting down south. Just got a message from the Lebatarde crew about a we love lebron rally.

I can't believe LeBron is even considering Cleveland. Yes, they have a few good players via all their lottery picks, but it's a shit orgainzation.

Didn't they finally hire a decent coach? I think the big hurdle for Cleveland (besides the fact that it is IN CLEVELAND) is Dan Gilbert.

I still think he ends up in Miami, with Bosh and Wade taking less money to fit him in and some players to help out more than those that did in last year. Even if the lost two of the 4 finals they went to together, they went to 4 straight NBA finals.

I think their new coach, David Blatt(?), is going to be excellent. He's proven he can coach and is a winner wherever he goes. He hasn't coached in the nba but has coached many nba players. The cavs will be a 'new' team this year and without a doubt win more than they lose and be in the playoffs next year. And of course if Lebron joins the team, they would be much better and probably have home court advantage in the first round.

Shouldn't be hard for them to make the playoffs, they are in the East. Teams that missed the playoffs in the West did better than teams that made the playoffs in the East.

I also said, 'win more than they lose', which isn't always the case for an eastern conference playoff team. 😉 Also, being a playoff team in the east doesn't necessarily mean you have to suck either, but granted, there can be some really good teams that still don't make the playoffs because they are in the west, like Phoenix last year.
