Why didn't I sell OCZ at 7? Could have bought back in now. oh well guess I can hold it through the holiday season now.

What's holding nVidia back? Overall decrease in computer sales?

OCZ probably a good buy right now, no?

Now there's rumors they might dilute the stock more to gain some more cash. If that happens expect another dip. Overall I think they'll be OK but expect a while before things turn around.

From whom? That is bullshit from stocktwits. Read the earnings transcript; I remember seeing something about additional line(s) of credit.. nothing mentioned about stock dilution..

Price to earnings ratio too high if you don't back out the cash. It does not yet deserve a multiple equal to Qualcomm's.

I could've guessed that was the source of the supposed info. He was also knocking on Intel for not having a mobile offering... as in he was completely unaware of Medfield and Intel's huge lead they have over any other semi fab.

Should've gotten back in on OCZ at 4.50 :( was one click away from confirming the trade but thought I was being too impulsive and cancelled!

What is your thoughts on something like OXF (coal mining in Midwest)? Their dividends are at 20% since the stock dropped in price by half. Is it likely they will cut dividends to fall back into the 10% range? I'm thinking if I can get in at this price, even if the dividend yield drops due to increasing stock price, I'll still have the same yield, just would have to stop reinvestment of dividends at higher prices.

Any thoughts on AMD gang? Seems to have a good resistance at 4, and trades in a range between 4 and 5. Buy some up and sell it at 4.5 or 4.75?

Assets are falling and debt is increasing. That is the only way they could be paying such a dividend, but you are right it can't last, since they haven't had a profitable quarter in some time. I don't think they will cut the dividend just 50%, my guess is they would get rid of it completely. The best reason to play this stock is if you believe Nat Gas will be increasing in price to the point that utilities begin more coal usage and less Nat Gas.

Do plants have the capacity for both NG and coal?

You have a skill most don't realize is a skill. Don't regret it.

Erm, not to sound like a wise ass, but hindsight is a skill? Don't worry, I think I might've sold near there! Shouldn't have done that, feels worse! Mrvl was a fantastic pooch screw. Should've sold the minute I heard the stuttering execs on conf call.

Btw, psec is now 11.42 - 5.5% price increase ain't bad for a stock that yields 10+%

Unless he was being sarcastic, discipline and being able to resist being impulsive is a very good skill, especially when playing higher-risk tech stocks.

I've been sitting it out over the past two to three weeks. Really busy at work and just not seeing any action. With my luck, there's a massive rally coming. In the mean time, it doesn't look like I've missed much.

You've missed quite the rally.. I only say this because I don't want you to buy something thinking we've remained flat for the past 2-3 weeks.. STX +18% since 08/01/2012, AAPL and GOOG +7%. Even AMAT, which disappointed, is up 10%. FIO is up 55.76%. and so on..

INTC has been fairly suppressed. up 1.54% since Aug 1st. It did pay a .225 cent dividend.

Choose wisely sir.

Lee was also up again due to the buffett effect.

I sold off my holding on friday in hopes to get back in after the buffett effect goes away. That's what happened last quarter anyway. If it goes up up up, i'll be sad but that's life.
