can't believe the skins are in position to win the division!!

i cant believe they take the common opponent record over the conference record for a tie breaker.

although, i actually can believe it now since it makes more sense when you think about it heh.

makes me even more pissed that the steelers couldn't beat them. my mom and step dad are die hard steelers fans and i gave them A LOT of crap about not putting that team away.

it's funny hearing them talk about how depressed and sad they are right now, and im like 'WELCOME TO THE PAST 20 YEARS FOR ME'

I can't believe the Ravens couldn't beat the Redskins either.

I know that we have no right to complain in Baltimore. Our team is going to the playoffs for the fifth year in a row and they've managed to win their division but this just feels like a season of missed opportunities. The Ravens could have snagged a first round bye if they hadn't lost to the Redskins and a Steelers team that was led by a geriatric third-string quarterback. Sadly I predict they'll be one and done in the playoffs.

the skins could be 13-2 "if" the ball bounced their way too. they only were completely out of it against the steelers and panthers.

playing the "if" game in the nfl is pointless.

Well, I think that of the AFC playoff field, the Colts do match up with the Ravens the best and I certainly have more faith in the Indy offense than the Ravens offense.

Knowing how things go, the Vikes will likely lose, miss the playoffs, and Peterson will get to 206 yards then break his neck. :\

wait... arent the skins in 1st place? if they lose to the cowboys, they'll be tied w/the cowboys for 1st place?

how does being tied for 1st place not get you a spot in playoffs?!

because cowboys have the next tie breaker - better record against common opponents.

they will both be 4-2 in the division if the cowboys beat em, and next tie breaker is common opponents.

thats the tiebreaker? not the better record between the 2 tied teams? or will it be 1-1? noone plays a team 3 times in a regular season?

and they'll be tied for 1st. or are you saying the Cowboys will be the only ones in their conference to be in the playoffs only because the conference leader is automatically in?
aka their conference sucks

Luck will have a longer career since RG3 seems to think he's a running back. heck one week, he was the leading rusher for the team! WTF?

luck has 21 tds and 18 ints.

rg3 has 20 tds and 5 ints.

with his ability to run and protect the ball, i'd take rg3 over luck any day of the week.

wtf you talking about? how can one of the 2 teams that are tied have a better record?

and their conference is competitive which is why it's close as shit right now, with the exception of the eagles. week 16 it was possible that 3 teams in the NFCE could have made the playoffs had the games played out a certain way.

I would if it was for the next year or two only, but any longer than that I would not. I fear for him out there. Amazing to watch, but scary because I always think he is going to get clocked and be out for the season.

you must not have watched many of his games then this year and rather just seen his highlights on sportscenter. the amounts of running he has done from week 1 to now has dropped dramatically, ESPECIALLY the amount of designed run plays.

I do not watch sportscentre since we do not get it up here, I was going off the games I watched (usually not all of them since I hate the NFC East; just wanted to see him play a bit) and I am talking about when he leaves the pocket at all, not just designed run plays. Just how I felt watching him play, never felt that way with Luck or even Cam when I watched them since they can take a big hit without issue.

KT

the game vs the eagles i think he ran twice for 4 yards, stayed in the pocket almost the entire game and they won. proving that he is indeed a pocket passer and not a running quarterback.

it's because he is built like a wide receiver and can move like one too. whereas the other guys can't and aren't built the same way.

i couldn't believe the skins couldn't beat the steelers. it's the only game the skins played where they had a two-possession loss. all the other ones were a one-possession loss.

goddamn rain and butterfingers receivers...
