thats the tiebreaker? not the better record between the 2 tied teams? or will it be 1-1? noone plays a team 3 times in a regular season?

and they'll be tied for 1st. or are you saying the Cowboys will be the only ones in their conference to be in the playoffs only because the conference leader is automatically in?
aka their conference sucks

not true whatsoever.

rg3 is a quarterback first, runner second. his arm power and accuracy are insane and he has an incredible ability to read the defense. it just so happens that he's fast as hell, so, when he scrambles, he takes a bunch of yards with him.

i couldn't believe the skins couldn't beat the steelers. it's the only game the skins played where they had a two-possession loss. all the other ones were a one-possession loss.

goddamn rain and butterfingers receivers...

the skins were not in 2 games at all this season - the steelers and panthers. they simply had no chance in either of those games and got owned the entire game and played like shit. every other game they were in till basically the final drive/play of the game.

Oh how do we know this thread is chock full of Redskins fans. 😀

KT

im nervous as hell you don't even know lol. i mean even if they lose they almost doubled their win total from last year and are obviously headed in the right direction and even have some key defensive injuries.

but ill tell you if they lose sunday it is going to HURT bad if the cards don't fall right earlier in the day for them to take a wild card spot. my new years party is gonna have some sad people lol.

I'd be stunned if they lost. Along with Bob Cubed their coaching staff has been pretty impressive this year. The Cowboys seem destined to crap the bed in such a big game. Going to be fun to watch regardless, even though I hate every single team in the NFC East! 😀

I just wonder how odd it is for Bears fans to actually *want* the Packers to win.

😀

true, i forgot about the panthers.

In fairness Ed Reed was named to the pro bowl again even though he's clearly way past his prime. It's kind of hard to take the pro bowl seriously.

fletcher and morris should have been on the starting team and not alternates. especially morris... they shoulda picked him over gore.

Peyton, Rodgers, and Brady are more deserving.

It's certainly a tight race this year with a lot of room for debate. No clear-cut frontrunner. But without Griffin, no way the Redskins are relevant this year. I think you could say that about Rodgers and Brady, probably even Luck and Peterson, but not Manning. Peyton is doing a great job, but he's also getting a LOT of help...the Broncos were successful last year, they're very well-run, and they're in the discussion for most complete team in football.

flether for sure, but morris i can see why he didn't make it. the skins haven't had any respect the past 2 decades (deservedly so) and morris is a late round draft that is playing lights out. people just don't know who he is at this point so i can understand it.

fletcher i can understand for the same reason. while he's been a tackle machine the past few years leading the NFL, he's been on a team that has had 5 and 6 wins.

I heard Brian Hoyer hired himself a stunt double to take the 30+ sacks that Aldon Smith & company will dish out on Sunday.

Uh, the same is even more true for the Colts and Andrew Luck. Andrew Luck IS the Colts offense and generally their only hope for a win. Even though he has struggled the last 2 or 3 weeks (while, ironically enough, not turning the ball over), he always seems to come through when he has to. Without Luck, the Colts are a 2 or 3 win team at most. And even with all that said, I don't think he is in the MVP race.

Ok, you say Manning doesn't count because the Broncos were successful last year, but you say Brady and Rodgers count even though one (Brady) made it to the Super Bowl and the other (Rodgers) had the best regular season record in the league last year? Both of those guys had help too and both franchises are also cited as among the most well-run in the league.

If you only want to use the criteria of "if this guy gets run over by a car, which team is the worst" for your MVP criteria, then Andrew Luck is the choice by a longshot as he has far less help than anyone else on this list. I'd say Peterson would be a close second. I don't think many people realize how bad the Colts are -- they have numerous holes and likely won't last long in the playoffs. They have tons of upside and I look forward to the day when Houston's brief tenure at the top of the AFC South is over. 😀

With all that said and done, my choice for MVP still comes down to Manning, Brady, and Rodgers and I only give the edge to Manning due to the incredible circumstances surrounding his return.

Andrew Luck has close to as many interceptions as he has touchdowns. GTFOOH.

Ah, one of the "RG3 isn't a running QB even though his rushing stats are directly in line with Vick's and Cunningham's career highs" fanboys checks in.

Andrew Luck is running a far more complex offense and is the only option on the offense for the Colts. He does not have a 1,000 yard rusher behind him. Yes, he has thrown too many INTs (remember, one of those was also gifted to the defense and was not really an INT; the NFL admitted the official was wrong) but if you placed him in a conservative offense with a 1,000 yard rusher (like Washington's offense), he wouldn't. Luck is more valuable to his team than RG3 is and that's just fact.

Guess who threw more as a rookie? Peyton Manning. He turned out pretty damn well.

Kansas City Chiefs have 5 voted in to the Pro Bowl. How is Pro Bowl voting not a joke?

Thanks, I was going to mention that. The Pro Bowl ceased being relevant long ago -- I think Montana was still in the league when anyone cared. Luck is a first alternate IIRC, meaning he'll be in Honolulu too once Brady or someone else sits it out. Did he deserve it? No.
