Tonight will be the first test of my prediction that the Ravens are headed for a weak year and the Bengals will win the division. I hope I'm wrong.

Damn you peyton! Needed 9 points from prater to go 4-0 on the week and not only do you do 1 minute touchdown drivers, but then you go for 2, argh!

i'm a realist. the skins secondary is extremely shaky right now. i hope they put some points on the board though, because that is the only way they will win this game is by scoring like 30+ if I had to guess. and how many times have the skins scored over 30 points in 1 game in the past 3 years?

well looks like i was right about them having to score over 30 points to stand a chance against the saints! shocked at the outcome still today. last time they scored over 40 points was in 2005.

LOL, *I* could've made those throws against the Saints. That was a REALLY pathetic defensive effort by the Saints. Luck had to play against a far better defense and he has a far worse offensive line than Griffin.

P.S. Ryan Leaf started off better than Peyton Manning. Want to discuss how that turned out?

Peyton Manning played a hell of a game for denver. The Colts are a week team because they cut loose a Great QB for a maybe better future . Manning is was and still is the real deal . But the Colts are an undeserving organization . Same as GB . RGIII was great in yesterdays game . Sorry but Luck is No RGIII as this kid is really poised and smart . Screw the traitorious colts and their fans.

The league need to get the situation fixed fucking STAT!, these guys only play 16 games, not 160, one or two blown calls or non-calls can wind up having a large impact on where a team winds up at the end of the season..

yA i KNOW tHE LAST YEAR gb WON THE sUPER BULL THEY SHOUDN'T HAVE EVEN BEEN IN THE PLAYOFFS . AS THE REGULAR REFS GAVE THEM 3 TOUCHDOWNS IN THREE DIFFERANT GAMES TO PUT THEM IN THE PLAYOFFS . yET THEY WON THE sb. wHEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN BELONG . THATS RIGHT THE REGULAR REFS SCREWED EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE THAT YEAR AND ALL THE FANS EXCEPT THOSE IN gb.

Seeing PFM last night was very exhilarating. Watching him as a fan all those years was good stuff, but now that he is the leader of my team ... it adds so much more to the experience. Broncos fans are truly lucky to be watching this right now. I have no doubts in my mind he will be winning one for us over the next 2-4 years

Are you implying that Luck isn't every bit as poised and smart? RG3 has a lot more talent around him and a great defense. Indi has no o-line, and very few offensive weapons at his disposal. Luck is looked at as one of the smartest QB's to ever come out of any draft and everyone who talks to him is blown away, not just by his intelligence, but his wisdom that carries well beyond his years.

RG3 has had some of the same things said about him, but just because RG3 had 1 game better under his belt doesn't mean a thing. I still think Luck has the chance to have the all around better career.

What a crazy Sunday! Saints get hosed by the Redskins, Packers lose home opener, Jets dominate the Bills, Peyton Manning looks great (along with the Broncos), The Falcons toss the Chiefs, and much more. Looking forward to the 2 games tonight.

Congrats to the Redskins, I hope RG3 has a great year!

And my team in the ATOT auction league is surprisingly looking great after what I thought was a terrible draft. I have some good players sitting on my bench (C.J. Spiller, Shonn Greene, Demaryius Thomas & Desean Jackson)

why is Peyton Manning being referred to as PFM

Peyton Fcuking Manning? That seems unnecessary.

Loved the 49ers winning. It shouldn't have been as close as the score indicated though.. These refs need to be replaced.

great football day:

Skins and RGIII looked great--though I'd be surprised if they can keep it up for a season. (No ICF--I do not think you could have made those throws against the Saints. seriously--credit where credit is due. RGIII looked far more poised than Luck in yesterday's games)

Niners looked solid. In fact, they looked ridiculous. Should have only given up 7 points in the end, but if this is what is to come this season, then they are going back to the Championship. Could be the terrible D of GB showing up again, but the Niners also shut down Rodgers.

Peyton beating the Steelers? Oh hell yeah.

I think Luck will be fine. He looked awful--constantly under-throwing his receivers, but he also didn't have much time to throw. We'll see.

RG3 wasn't hit on every play either, and from what I saw, the Saints D was giving ridiculous space to the receivers.

That is the difference. Also, I don't remember any underthrows but I saw lots of overthrows.

Thank you for the being a voice of reason. Luck was hit on nearly every single play and as I mentioned before, RG3 had lots of wide open receivers to choose from and generally plenty of time as well.

For those who didn't see the game, watch a clip of Luck's fumble. There was a Colts lineman (Linkenbach) who literally stood there and watched Luck get blindsided and then had the bright idea to shove the player hitting Luck and caused them both to go down. That is the type of retard playing oline for the Colts.

I was a bit distracted--watching both games at once, in the background--the Saints don't have the greatest D, but is it not possible that the receivers were getting so much space because RGIII was moving the D around with eyes, pump fakes, scrambling? I remember one wide-open TD in the corner of the end zone where the corner completely bit on the play-action. He was close at the line and for 5 yards, then just took off leaving his guy wide-open. :D

In order to pump fake, look defenders off, etc, what is the most important thing to have? If you said "good oline protection," you win a cigar. See Nemesis for your award, but that probably won't be tobacco in it if he gives it to you. :D

RGIII looked a hell of a lot better than Luck, however I think RGIII has better parts around him and Da Bears D >> Saints D. When I was watching Luck I couldn't help but think he just looked flat, it seemed every catch was made by some miracle one hand behind the back or way out in front.

I was more impressed with how well the 49er's D kept GB's O in check. I was however pissed after the punt run back they went into prevent D, rushing only 3 people. I HATE that. You are just asking for a QB that good to find someone open eventually. But when they brough 4 or 5 guys they almost always hurried or sacked him.
