HEYEPER ZOOM CAMERA SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS CBS SPORTS’ TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES FOR Super Bowl XLVII COVERAGE

CBS Sports is deploying six “Heyeper Zoom” high frame rate, 4K replay and zoom camera systems. “Heyeper Zoom” uses For-A-Corp’s, FT-One, 4K cameras, equipped with Fujinon lenses and Evertz Corp’s DreamCatcher record servers. The “Heyeper Zoom” replay system can capture video at a frame rate between 300-500 frames per second (normal 60 fps). The For-A cameras use 3840 by 2160 pixel imagers, totaling over 8 million pixels, four times greater than current high-definition video. The Evertz DreamCatcher replay system records the 4K video signal allowing CBS Sports to use the full 4K resolution to zoom in on critical points of a play (ie. foot inbounds, turnovers, etc.) for high resolution review. The unique Evertz user interface allows an operator to quickly determine critical points of play and rapidly turn them around for on-air use. The entire system is being integrated and housed by NEP, Inc

Whatever the f*ck this is, it sounds awesome.

He really should just get in here and take his lumps and everyone will move on.

According to him the loss didn't count because the 70 yard TD pass to Jones has never happened before in NFL playoff history. Of course he ignores the fact that no one has ever returned both a punt and a kickoff for a TD in a playoff game. I offered to concede the 7 points of the Jacoby Jones TD if he concedes the 14 points off of the Holliday returns.

Well, that's just Te'o type talk.

Sounds like it basically makes it easier for the broadcaster to show high-res replays. Like if you're watching a catch trying to see if a receiver's feet are in bounds or not you can zoom in on the feet without having [much] pixelization because the resolution of the source film is so much greater than that of conventional TVs.

"Heyeper" is a horrible name though lol

That company needs to get someone else to do their marketing/promotions/PR.

Hmmmmmmm, i'm surprised nobody posted about how Michael Crabtree was interviewed by police about an alleged sexual assault... i think Roger Goodell should pre-emptively suspend him for the next 2 games just to be safe 😛
