I think including the Pacers on that list is laughable. They only won 49 games, and that's in the less competitive Eastern conference. Memphis and San Antonio are both better than Indiana.

At worst you agree Indiana is a top 4 team yet it's crazy to call them top two?

I don't want to speak for Red Dawn here, but it didn't sound to me like he was giving a comprehensive list of everyone he thought was better than Indiana this year, merely two of the current teams in the Western Conference Playoffs that he considers better. And, from a strictly mathematical perspective, if you give a definitive ranking to four separate teams and then say that the team you ranked fourth is a top-two team, yeah, that'd be pretty crazy on account of it's completely illogical. Is it as ridiculous as saying a team you ranked thirtieth is top-two? No. But it's still mathematically ridiculous.

And all that aside, Indiana has looked pretty good in the playoffs. They've looked much better than they have in the regular season. But I agree that Memphis and San Antonio have looked better, even with San Antonio's struggles against the Warriors (early in the series anyway).

Oh lookie, it got quiet. I have to say, the GSW fans are a finicky bunch ... I don't know how many times I heard them chanting "Refs you suck," but it was more than I've ever heard in watching 23 years of basketball.

I don't understand your quiet comment. Is it supposed to be rocking in the final seconds of an elimination loss?

Oh man I hope the Spurs can beat the Grizzlies.. It's going to be tough.. Manu needs to play better, the bench (roles) players need to step it up!

Just like the regular season thread, the Heat seem to draw the biggest crowd. When they struggle or lose it picks up.

There seem to be quite a few Chicagoans on ATOT though. These threads are the only place I pad my post count.

Oh look, a personal attack - what a shock. I wasn't calling out anyone, just stating that the thread wasn't that active.

You've got the worst attitude/demeanor out of anyone here. I can't recall one post from you that wasn't some sort of snide/sarcastic remark. Even when people try to give their opinion to have a good discussion, you respond like a smart ass.

Kinda bummed GSW got knocked out. Was hoping for a Memphis/GSW WCF. East is boring, but let's see if Indiana can take the series and beat the Heat.

Let's see if Memphis can knock out spurs again like a few years ago.

Who else is feeling a Memphis/Miami finals? I think the Griz could take them, they would match up quite well to Miami's weaknesses.

Yeah if Memphis can slow the game down, take Miami out of transition and pound the half court game that really works in their favor. They are a team that is very traditionally built...two skilled big men, a good PG, excellent defense at almost every position, and are well coached. They aren't a flashy team, but they are far too overlooked for the talent and abilities that they have.

I understand the history of ATOT and it is humbling to be mentioned amongst great posters. I work hard and study the game and try and be the best basketball poster I can. And preslove, I personally thank you for all your hard work in the HUME thread.

Yep

I really hope they or Pacers/Knicks winner takes the Heat. ANYONE but the Heat.

At this point, I'm hoping for a Memphis vs. Pacers / Knicks finals... would be a lot more interesting to have some combination of those teams in the finals instead of Spurs and Heat. The excessive lack of parity in the sport makes it a bit boring at times... this would spice things up a bit at least!
