F earnings on Tuesday before open, should be interesting!

Really?

Damnit. Their sales released last time made the shares pop, hope that translated into pretty reasonable/good results. Want to get back to breaking even, and just check out. Long-term upside is definately pretty high though.

WFC finally under $30 again. Closed on Friday at $28.54. I'm hoping that it gets to $25-$26. if so, I am loading up!

$2.6B earnings for Ford, 61 cents per share, well above the 50 cents projected.

Up around $16 in pre-market trading.

Let's hope it maintains some momentum. It has a good chance of hitting new highs. I'm almost break-even, but totally missed a phat 10% rise if I bought when it bottomed out at ~$14.30.

Been making terribly timed picks lately.

Anyone thinking about taking some profit and sitting out the next couple weeks? I'm worried that after this run of earnings that the Fed meeting and more importantly the political games that surround raising the debt ceiling could drive everything down.

TheBDB,

I think about going more into cash alot. The thing is, I don't have any stocks that are overvalued in my portfolio right now. And most of my money is in JNJ. I'd rather go 100% JNJ right now that 50% JNJ and 50% cash.

If some of my smaller cap stocks havea run, I might sell them off.

And tere are some stocks I would not dare buy like Apple and Netflix simply because their position 5 years from now is unknown. They could be value traps and rule number 1 is do not loose money.

I guess the whole point of this is that I pay less attention to the overall market and simply care about my individual holdings. I don't care about current quote. I just care about when someone comes along and give me more money for the comapny than it is worth.

Aaand Ford ends up under-performing the market today.

Hillarious. It's gone up 7% (?) in the past 5 days, so probably profit taking. Hope it sits around then makes a run at $17 before people start freaking out over Japan's supply problems.

I can't believe CSCO is making a run. I just dumped it last week at a huge loss, and now it's up 5%. The good thing is that I put what I sold into MSFT, which is only trailing CSCO by 1%. I'm starting to get the feeling that bluechip stocks move based on general economic or perceived market performance than the merits of the companies themselves...

LEXG in the past couple months, $1 to $7.50+. Pre-promotion stock followed by a massive promo campaign. Now trying to profit on the other side, but there's no shares to be shorted ::sigh::

BTW, there is a website called profit.ly that can verify your transactions (profits/losses) if anyone ever questions your trades.

As ATOT knows, I've been posting my analysis on these stock threads for the past 5 years or so, and have profited handsomely (along with people who follow my trades).

This year, I created a separate account. I funded it with $1,000 and we'll see how high I can get it up.

Bought shares of ITMN in the $10's - the ITMN story isn't as strong as DNDN, and resolution of their drug could (will likely) take years, but it's a speculative position for now (only 750 shares).

So anyone bought this? ;)

Added to BAC. Looks like it'll hold at $12.20-$12.50 for a while. Might go down to $11.xx range, but I got some money on the sidelines in case it happens.

What do you think of IDCC Azurik? I like them myself as a great long term asset play on 3G/4G wireless growth. The Nortel bidding wars (which IDCC might be involved in purchasing) can only help IDCC with their 1000's of patents, many pertaining to LTE. Of course the CAFC ruling should also come in any day now.

If anyone wants some fun try trading SLV. Best traded intra day really as /SI rises/falls in the other markets. But if you get in the right direction, which at the moment is up, options pay off very well!

Try trading AGQ (Basically a 2x leveraged version of SLV) for extra fun!

I like IDCC and have owned various positions in that stock all year. The breakdown it had a couple months ago provided a nice entry-point. I haven't been catching up on it lately so I can't give you any real-time updates now.

For more long-term investing than trading, I still like DNDN a lot. Things are ramping up nicely, and now it's time to see how fast revenues will climb with the green light in the U.S. market followed by going worldwide later.

RMBS has a firm trial date for the Antitrust in early June.

LEXG is a 99% Azurik guarantee that it's a great (awesome) short candidate if your broker has any shares. The volume will capitulate with the pre-promoters dumping and this dog will go back down to $1 or so.

Excellent, thanks Azurik. Too bad LEXG doesn't have an options market or one could buy Puts.

I also like DNDN long term; I picked some up before the CMS draft decision was released. Its recent mini run has been due to research showing increased demand for Provenge based on increased subscriptions of Provenge.

I've never shorted anything so I don't really know how it works as far as timeframe or having a broker call me on it, but LEXG does seem primed for a fall. I might try it. I can't seem to pick any winners, I might as well try to pick losers.

please don't short a stock if you have no idea what you are doing, even if you know the price has been manipulated, you just don't know how high it will go, shorting a stock has unlimited loss, it could goto $20 before it comes back down to 10cents, but by then, your broker has already closed your short position probably on its way up, and you ended up owing your broker money.
