It will be interesting to see what he White House does over the next few months to improve unemployment levels. No idea what will happen. Just saying, there is a catalyst there.

But we'll need drywall to build houses for those unemployed!!!

I thought I was on ignore? If you don't want to hear anything I say, you should shut your mouth about what I say.

FWIW: You just re-iterate everything said on TV. Not a single original thought. And when confronted with data, you don't look at the data. You don't even know the data that the media bases its comments on. You stick your head in the sand and claim victory. Very constructive.

Just keep an eye on lumber shipments (rail data) for the next 24 months. A growing population has to live somewhere. Food, clothing, shelter. Any of these words ring a bell?

lol, dam that was cold.

The irony is that I found it funny too. For different reasons of course. My previous post hints at the funny parts. I tend to laugh at people that show up to gun fights with no bullets. Now if Pliablemoose used data to support his comments on Drywall, I'd be fine with it. If he understood drywall like he understands Apple, he'd not look like a fool to those capable of independant thought.

I actually undersand drywall pretty well, and with BH holding it, I agree it's a good value play.

My thing is to go with what I follow closely, and interests me.

Watching the housing/construction industry makes me want to open a vein and bleed out...

Pliable,

OK. I can agree with what you said.

Can we play nice and move on with life?

Kinda bummed to see USG down today after a pretty good 10 day run. Dow up today and USG down 4%. Oh well.

I wonder how my potential value trap (LEE) ends up. They need to refinance soon or the stock could tank.

The warning shot that everyone should be hearing came a 1-2 weeks ago.

Now this:
"Amazon's not the only big-name company planning on a budget-level tablet release; Lenovo recently announced their Ideapad A1 tablet as competition. It includes a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU, along with other features more commonly seen on higher-priced tablets, such as dual cameras, bluetooth, GPS, wifi, and a MicroSD slot. Is this the start of the Android tablet price avalanche?"

This should be fun watching history repeat itself.

European markets crashing again (down 4%) to 22 month lows. US futures down 2.5% or more. Might be an ugly Tuesday.

The last crash two weeks ago was foreseeable to some degree. Nice post-"crash" rally, then crash again, another rally, then crash. I pulled a quarter of my money out last Thurs before the dip. No way to actually be sure, so I left the rest in since the things I bought were still at rock bottom prices. Nothing's really changed since so it doesn't look like there's any reason for any sustained gains, but shit happens, so I'll just keep some longs in.

I'm going to guess it'll drop to the lows of the last month. Hope it doesn't fall through that support level and go straight to hell. If it does, I got some play money, so yay.

So, LEE gets refinancing done and stock opens up only 30%. Still up but only like 10%.

Not sure why it did not jump.

Looking like another good time to buy today with the drops after Obama's speech. But I'm wondering if we will get an even better opportunity around the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in a couple days?

Thoughts?

I am beginning to hope Greece just defaults so we can stop worrying about it and move on. The last big correction last year was over this same issue. Next years correction will probably be the same.

Hey, have you heard about the Greek debt situation yet? :sneaky:

Terrible hope unless you actually want a full-blown crisis. Remember how people hoped for the best right before Lehman Brothers failed?

Although Greece itself is tiny, the real question is if another PIIGS country would fail afterward. Besides, Greece is already on technical default after the July deal. It's the domino effect everybody is worried about.

Hahaha if you think Greece defaulting will solve the problem, that will take down France's banks, and probably help knock down Portugal, Spain and Italy. Then.. my friend, you have a SRS probrem.

This domino effect will be like the mortgage crisis all over again, only this time on a global scale.
