I need some trade advise. I have Drew Brees, so I'm looking to move Cam Newton on my bench. I also have Adrian Foster.

I would be giving up Newton, Stevan Ridley, and DeAngelo Williams for Maurice Jones-Drew, Antonio Gates, and Lee Evans.

I'm not sure what to expect from Ridley and Williams for the rest of the year. But I need to move Newton before his value drops.. if it drops.

I want MJD because at least it's not a running back by committee like the three RBs I have. I also have Brandon Jacobs. I'm hoping MJD is off to a slow start and will bounce back.

Antonio Gates is week to week. I drafted Dallas Clark. So I could use the help in TE when Gates is healthy again.

So do I pulled the trigger and accept the trade? I'm 2-2 now btw.

edit:
The other trade I'm working on is Andre Johnson (out 3 weeks maybe more) for Newton, Ridley, and/or Sidney Rice. If I was 3-1 I might gamble and pull off this trade. But I'm not sure when Johnson will be back to form.

You'd basically be trading Newton, Ridley and DWill for Jones-Drew. Lee Evans has shown absolutely no chemistry with Joe Flacco. Antonio Gates has big-time injury problems. I would really try to figure out a different trade for players who you know you can count on. Getting rid of Newton just to get rid of him isn't smart.

List your whole roster so I can see where your strengths/weaknesses are.

I need help determining what my lineup should be for Week 5. Below is my roster with projected stats for the week. I am currently 1-3 and I play the last place team this week, so picking up another win is important in order for me to stay in the hunt. Please help. Thanks!

What do you think of this trade? I just offered someone Steven Jackson for Steve Smith. I desperately needed WR help, and it's a keeper league where I can keep Smith with a 6th round pick next year.

My RB's
Adrian Peterson
Matt Forte
Steven Jackson
Darren Sproles
CJ Spiller

My WR's
Brandon Marshall
Percy Harvin
Eric Decker
Victor Cruz

Yeah I hear you about Evans. He was pretty much a toss in. Newton's been sitting on my bench since Week 2. And I lost my last 2 games. I'm in the middle of the pack now. So I need to make some moves. I might take a shot with Ridley and hold off on any trades until after Week 5. It's just that going into Week 5 I don't have a solid RB2 nor a solid WR2.

I got

Brees, Newton, and Freeman (I drafted Freeman as a backup. I didn't want to drop him until I knew Newton was legit.)

Foster, D. Williams, Brandon Jacobs, Ridley, Derrick Ward, and Montario Hardesty

G. Jennings, Sidney Rice, Mike Williams(TB), and Antonio Brown

Dallas Clark and Jared Cook

It's a QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR, 1TE, 1DT, 1LB, 1DB, 1K league.

I like that first trade a lot, I'd take that in a second. Mojo is a pretty solid haul for Newton considering you don't need him. Gates won't be back for a while but he should be valuable if you make it to the playoffs. Unless you think you can get andre and still win a few games while he's out.

After reading this I think I actually change my mind. It's all about making your team better, and this would make your team better.

I don't think I would change anything. Projections are useless, but are you "projected" to win your matchup? If so, by how much?

Right now I am projected to win by a lot because the person I'm playing hasn't swapped out 3 bye week players yet. Hopefully he forgets to check!

Was just offered the following trade in my 12-team, 2-keeper league:
I give Vick and receive Nicks, Witten, Hasselbeck.

My team:
QB: Vick
RB: MJD
RB: Fred Jackson
RB/WR: Michael Bush
WR: Jordy Nelson
WR: Nate Washington
TE: Gates
DST: Titans
K: Kasay

BE: Moreno, Boldin (bye), Daniel Thomas (bye), Bradford (bye), Meachem, Denarius Moore, Redskins DST

I've been crippled by the injuries to this team, especially Kenny Britt and Gates. Even trading Vick for Nicks and Hasselbeck seems like a good trade, given Vick's injury risk (which has scared me). Throwing Witten in there just makes it seem like a no-brainer.

What do you guys think?

PPR on both:

Team 1:
QB Ryan
RB Forte
RB Peterson
WR Stevie
WR Welker
Flex MJD
D Eagles, Cardinals, 49ers,
K Janikowski

Bench: Fitzpatrick, Ridley, Snelling, Decker, Nelson, Washington, Williams

Team 2:
QB: Fitz
RB:Fred Jackson
RB: DMC
WR:Lloyd
WR:
TEaniels
Flex - Blount
K - Rackers
D Chi, TB, Ten, Cin

Bench:Hassellbeck, Bush, Greene, everyone else on bye.

I also need to pick up a WR off WW, since Johnson and Austin are both out. Top are: Garcon, Gaffney, Cruz, Preston Parker., or Kevin Walter. basically not much.

It appears Painter REALLY likes Garcon, so he's a good pick up. Gaffney and Cruz will probably give you an average of 10, with the occasional 16 because of a touch down. Do you play with mentally slow people? Because those teams are freaking disgusting.

Onita, please please please drop some of those defenses. I wouldn't even carry two, but for the sake of little helpless babies, don't carry three!

For the WRs, I'm not sure. I haven't read much about the Giants situation other than them saying Manningham is still the starter, but not sure how set in stone that is. What did Garcon do with Painter? Gaffney is unexciting, especially with grossman slumping. who the hell is preston parker? kevin walter could be worth a shot with andre out and jacoby jones possibly not 100% yet

I think it's a good deal. Do you not have a back up TE? Who did you play last week?

I played Randy McMichael last week and someone different the week before, but there's basically only garbage available as far as TEs go.

Thanks for the validation though, I think I definitely come out with a better overall team. And I can always trade one of the TEs if Gates gets healthy.

Nicks should be a good keeper going forth, too. I was never really thrilled about keeping Vick at the beginning of the year, but everything appears to have worked out. 😀

That said, which 3 players do I drop (2 to process the trade, 1 to pick up another TE for this week?)

Lol, I don't have all those D's, or else I'd have 20 some odd players on my team. Those are just available ones.

Team 1:

3-1, loss by less than 2 points =(

QB - Rodgers
RB - McGahee, Mathews
WR - White, Jennings
TE - Finley
W/R - Bowe

K- Kasay

Def - Texans (picked them up due to easy schedule)

BN
Kolb, Grant, Ridley, D. Bryant, D. Nelson, Eagles

I am about to drop the Eagles for just about something else. I would drop Kolb and get another RB or something (weak at that position). I missed the draft, autodrafted due to my ranking and got 4 Packers. If only Grant would be the #1 RB I would be set.

The only RBs on the waiver wire are Michael Bush, J. Ringer, T. Jones and D. Williams. Any input? I'm thinking D. Williams but I dropped him a while back. People rarely trade much so it makes this worse.

Team 2:

3-1 (PPR league, 0.5)

QB - Stafford (someone dropped V. Jackson so I grabbed him and traded the Brady owner for his backup and got a HUGE upgrade here. Jackson + Bradford for Stafford + M. Williams (TB))
RB - Foster, Mathews
WR - White, Jennings
TE - Keller (not thrilled here, ANY suggestions for a deep sleeper or something?)
W/R - M. Williams (TB)

K- Kasay

Def - Lions

BN - M. Ryan, BJGE, F. Jones, D. Thomas, D. Nelson, A. Gates

if it wasn't for Thomas and Gates getting injured my team would be set, but this is the NFL.

Mark Ingram is on the WW at RB.

Is Tate a decent pick up in a 14 team league with nothing but scrubs available and I'm hurting bad at RB onbench with byes coming? Some body dropped him.

Not really, he's injured and Foster stampeded the Steelers last week. I expected the Texans to go with a running back committee but I doubt that will happen now with their injuries at RB. You can pick him up as a handcuff but don't have high expectations.
