Guys who might be available depending on how waivers shake out...

Titus Young (DET) - 8 targets, 4 catches, 51 yds
Nelson Cruz (NYG) - 5 targets, 3 catches, 110 yds, 2TD
Torrey Smith (BAL) - 8 targets, 5 catches, 152 yds, 3TD
Donald Jones (BUF) - 10 targets, 5 catches, 101 yds
Antonio Brown (PIT) - 8 targets, 4 catches, 75 yds

I'm thinking Titus Young at the moment. High-powered offense, gets a good amount of targets. Torrey Smith is intriguing, but I don't think Baltimore is gonna be airing it out like that on a regular basis. He is freakishly fast, though.
 
Well, it would probably be a mistake to drop Mike Williams...I can't imagine anyone in FA is any better. Even if you really don't want him, I'm sure you can trade for someone better than you could pick up

Titus Young is promising, but bench bait for now at best.

VICTOR Cruz is worth a waiver pickup with all the injuries the Giants have had to their WRs. He played really well last year when players were out, he's playing really well this year and should see a lot of playing time going forward.

Torrey Smith is a one hit wonder. He'll get reps only as long as Lee Evans is out unless he proves otherwise.

Donald Jones is a worth while pickup for a WR2/Flex spot at this point in time.

Antonio Brown on paper should be good, but the Steelers are smitten with Emmanuel Sanders for some reason even though Brown is the better player at this point.
 
I like antonio brown out of that group, though I don't love any of the options. Manningham won't be out long, and Hicks will be healthier and not facing asomugha every game, so I don't think Cruz does much, but who knows. Torrey Smith only worth it while Evans is out. Donald Jones is probably the fourth target on the Bills.
 
Breaking News (NFL.com): Jim Irsay announced at a breakfast meeting this morning that he does not expect Peyton Manning will be playing at all in 2011.
 
Yea, I'm sure he'll return when the Colts are like 1-11 in December. Would make total sense for them to risk playing him that late in the season, for no reason whatsoever.
 
I can't think of any reason why he would play this year, or why the Colts would want to make it seem that way. Trying to give hope to fans? Is that worth wasting a roster spot?

I agree. It's just hard to keep waiting to see life from him. That said, there are a couple prospects available who might help me near term (Washington, Cruz).

If it's between Washington and Cruz, you have to go Washington. He's easily the new #1, and whoever is #2 is faaaaaar removed.

Washington is definitely better than cruz. But see if you can trade Williams first. Even package him with another player to upgrade a position you might be weak at.

my McFadden + Stevie Johnson

for Andre Johnson + Devery Henderson + Darren Sproles

I don't think it's nearly worth it for me, but how far off is it? Sproles isn't bad with all the passes he catches, but henderson isn't that great. and I think Mcfadden is worth more than Andre. It's a ppr league, but 1pt per 8 rushing yards.

Would deion branch instead of henderson be worth it? my other RB is Jahvid Best, and my other WR is brandon marshall(we start 3, so marshall, stevie, and davone bess is on my bench)

the other team also has maurice jones drew, if theres something I can counter with

He's trying to bait you with Henderson given Coleston is out for another 3-4 weeks.

Sproles seems to be 2x better than Reggie Bush was for the Saints, and I'm thinking he earned my flex spot going forward in ATOT #2. I sense a bit of consistency in the Saints' game plan with him.

That said, I'll be honest - the answer is NO. Don't touch it with a ten foot pole, especially since your only other RB (listed) is Jahvid Best - the Lions have turned into a Pass First team and Best will be feast or famine depending on the matchup from here on out.

Stevie is a legit #1 and will likely be in the top 10 WRs this season, DMC is your (apparently) only stud RB and is having a stellar breakout year - dude, he GASHED the supposed best D in the league this week!

Don't bite. You have enough depth to ride it through.
 
I traded Welker for Tate this past week... which seems really dumb now. Then I lost Britt. Now my wideouts are Maclin, Stevie Johnson, and Boldin? My running backs are now Gore and Tate after losing Jamaal Charles. I traded Hightower for Antonio Gates earlier in the week. At least my QB is Brady, but I don't even know, I just want to cry.
 
I feel like a genus having stolen Fred Jackson at 101st pick and Fitzpatrick at 141st.

But I'm really just lucky 😛
 
I thought DMC got hurt yesterday?

I can't believe what an egg Mendenhall laid last night. I was playing against him in both of the AT PPR leagues and I had very marginal leads in both going into the game. Thought I was toast and ended up winning both.

Oh and fuck you Vick and Rivers, particularly Rivers.

minor groin injury from what I've read, hopefully nothing major. mendenhall is pissing me off. I took him in one league over mcfadden in a nonppr because I wanted a little bit of diversity, but that was a mistake.

Just a tad premature, don't you think SunnyD? I just got my first win in league #1, even though I've liked my team all along. Way too early to tell anything and the standings are all pretty even; only one or two unbeatens out there.
