Well look, that's the point. What is Heap's upside? 61 yards and a TD? or combine both guys, 100 yards and a TD. He won't reach that very often, and he can't get much more than that. We all saw Steve Smith's upside. That's his best game of the season for sure, but the potential is there, he is the number one target on that team, while Heap isn't, and at TE.

Sure, Benson is going to be a workhorse this year. But he doesn't catch many passes and he isn't that explosive anymore. Mojo and Charles didn't have very good games but they were only about 5 points below Benson, who was near his ceiling(he'll probably have a 2td game sometime though). As much as you might not like Mojo or charles, they have crazy skill. I know you don't think that matters, for whatever reason, but it gives them the chance to break out any given game. Look what Ray Rice did yesterday against the steelers. A lot of that credit goes to the Ravens in general, but cedric benson couldn't have had that type of game on that team. Charles and Mojo will win teams some weeks this year, and Benson won't. Benson will have far more dud games, but that's fine, and it's why Benson is a much later round pick. Benson is a fine player for his draft position, but he's not on the same level as the other guys.

Believe it or not, I agree with you for the most part. I'm not going to explain why again, since I already have before. I figure I'd just let you have your little victory and be done with it.

But yeah, I don't think ANYBODY expected what they got out of the Panthers. Then again, I don't think anybody expected a no-name tight end in Buffalo to pick up 2 TD's either. Just goes to show...

I don't consider it a victory at all, I'm just glad you didn't take what I said offensively or personally. It's just fantasy football, and different opinions from our own is always useful, even if we never can agree. The unexpected will always happen anyway

Kerry Collins is so bad. Its going to be pretty fun to watch the Colts stumble this year and blow so hard. Sad that it took this for the Texans to finally win the division, but it will happen and it will be nice to see a different team in the playoffs for once.

I don't know if I'm delusional or what, but I SWEAR everyone said Greene would be the feature back for the Jets. I drafted him as my RB2 for this reason. Watching last night's game was infuriating.

The good news is I drafted LT as well. Should I be starting him instead? PPR league.

Jets were playing from behind so they abandoned running the ball. But I think I might be trying to find a replacement for him in the ppr league I have him in

Plus the announcer last night said the Jets are usually slow starters which also eqautes to them playng from behind im assuming. So they will be passing more often than not would be my guess. I usually avoid Jets RBs.

I'm gonna use LT in his place for the time-being. He may not be a great RB2, but in a PPR league he's probably good enough. At least I hope he is.

Have Addai on my bench, but the Colts are completely screwed, so he's gonna stay there.

Anyone who ever thought Shonn Greene would ever be a GREAT running back let alone a feature back was sorely mistaken. Even the Jets staff themselves were sorely mistaken - which is why they shit their pants after losing Washington and Jones and the entire reason they signed Tomlinson after the fact. The dude has zero field vision, can't make cuts worth shit, can't catch worth crap and is a below average blocker. Only time he gets any real yardage is if the o-line opens a barn-door of a hole for him, strings up a banner across it saying "Hey Shonn... RUN HERE. NOW."

I remember they cut Jones and the NFLPA was upset about it. He rushed for over 1,000 yards the year before and they just did not want to pay him his mediocre salary.

marshall has 8 points and the artist formally known as CJ 1.4, so I've got about half a point leade in my thrid and final matchup. would have like at least one of those TD passes to him to be caught in case things get ugly late and CJ picks up some garbage time completions.

which is good, as marshall sucked in the endzone but gave me the points I needed (along with chad being a decoy mostly) to win all my games 🙂

henne's stats looks like he wouldn't have been a bad choice for starting QB this week either. may be a decent backup or matchup starter if they continue this passing mentality all season.

FML. I have Britt and Brady, but the other guy has Welker. I was behind with Brady and my kicker against Welker.

The worst part is I'll be #2 in my league in points by a long shot this week, but will still be 0-1. Fuck this happens every year.

Tell me about it. It's all about the matchup, it's only week 1.

Help please - is it good or bad to have to have a WR and TE on the same team? I was also hurt by having a QB against opposing team defense, I'm hurting myself there IMHO.

Just depends on the team. Other than Gates the TE position is a huge crapshoot. But I wouldn't worry too much about it. Good offenses are fine to double dip in. Just beware on bye weeks.
