What should I do about this trade? 😀 Can't believe it was even offered to me. -_-

Good god, team rookie is actually hosing my "legit" team. I know I should have started Brown, but nooooo. /facepalm

I'm going to beat Schaub with a wet noodle.

Holy crap my team blew up predictions so far. Even though AP had a terrible opener, the rest of my guys destroyed. Matt Forte has almost 4x his projected points, Ochocinco has 3x, Hakeem Nicks 2x, and everyone else is above projections except AP. NFL.com is now saying I'm expected to get twice as many points as my opponent in week 1. GOOD PICKS!

I still have Romo later today and Antonio Gates Monday. My bench didn't do anything surprising, although Jay Cutler is above projections. Barring any injuries, I think my team is going all the way.

yay small sample size!

I am just not happy with my QB lineup, I will keep Favre as my starter for now but I really need a better backup. Chad Hene aint gonna cut it, I will prob drop him and pick up Garrard off of Waivers.

I'm set up pretty well for a win this week I think...up 12 points going into tonight, I still have Braylon Edwards and Nate Kaeding going, he only has Jamal Charles.

If Forte can regain his form I'll be tough all year, with Chris Johnson/Forte as my RB combo, and Addai running the flex.

so far so good. put up big numbers in my main league. last year I lost week 1, then won 9 straight, and eventually the championship. starting off stronger, I won't complain.

looks like I have week 1 locked up in the ATOT auction ppr league as well. there were a couple high scoring teams. should be an interesting year

I just noticed my bench scored as many points as 2 people in my league so far. One person on my bench didn't even score any points.

Ok, I need a new quarterback. I had Kevin Kolb (arrgggh), Alex Smith and Chad Henne. Going into week two, Smith and Henne are both going up against decent defenses, I'd like to have someone I don't have to think as much about starting every week.

Options:
Vince Young - Ten
Trent Edwards - Buf
Matt Hasselbeck - Sea
Derek Anderson - Ari
Jason Campbell - Oak
Josh Freeman - TB

I'm leaning towards Young, but Hassleback had a pretty good game against not a bad defense.

Young for consistency, Hasselbeck for upside.

I'd go for Hasselbeck if it were me.

It's a shame the survivor league wasn't set to single elimination this year, otherwise after the charger lost last night I'd be that much closer to repeating as champ with half the league gone. 🙂

Young is your safest bet. Though I would drop one of your backups for Vick in case he gets the nod in the near future.

I have a fairly weak team in a 10-team league:
QBs: Brett Favre & Eli Manning
WRs: Randy Moss, Anquan Boldin, Hakeem Nicks & Malcom Floyd
RBs: Pierre Thomas, Knowshon Moreno, Cadillac Williams, Jonathan Stewart & Brandon Jacobs
TE: Tony G
K: Kaeding
Def: Miami

Not much is available on the waiver wire - Fred Taylor, Steve Breaston, Brandon Jackson (league is waivers until Weds morning., with reverse standings waiver order picks). 1/2 point per reception, o/w pretty standard league. Any ideas to save my season (or at least make it respectable)? 🙂

And yes, I benched Hakeem Nicks this week (in 2 different leagues). And to make that even worse, both teams I faced this week in those two leagues had Arian Foster. Sometimes, I really hate fantasy football. 🙁

I really need to rethink my wide receivers. It's my weakest position I think. Ocho and Nicks scored a lot of points this week, but my low man was Brandon Marshall and I don't expect him to do much better this week. Unfortunately my 2 backups scored a combined 3.4 points, they just aren't cutting it. I was looking at Austin Collie, he did good week 1. I want to grab him, but I'm worried this will weaken me further in week 4 when he, Romo, and Gates has the week off.

Considering the following trade:

Give:
Arian Foster
Hakeem Nicks

Receive:
Ryan Matthews
Greg Jennings

I'd be proposing. Can't decide if this is a nice sell high opportunity for Foster, or whether he's this years breakout top 5 RB.

Better a weak week than a weak season.

How deep are you at RB and WR? I'm not liking anything associated with SD right now...except Gates. Foster is in a much better position to excel given his O-Line and the passing game that defenses have to respect.

If you are already deep at RB and need the WR1 boost from Jennings it's not a bad deal. I think he'll be top 10 this year. But if you are thin at RB I don't think I'd go forward with it.

I'm not sure I'd do that. Nicks should be pretty solid this year and foster will be great

Just trying to sell high. My team (by round). We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and a flex. I'm kinda thin at WR, not sure I can count on Nicks all year since New York uses Smith and Manningham so much.

1. (5) Frank Gore RB
2. (16) Rashard Mendenhall RB
3. (25) Ryan Grant RB <---- 🙁 (out for season)
4. (36) Matt Schaub QB
5. (45) Arian Foster RB
6. (56) Wes Welker WR
7. (65) Owen Daniels TE
8. (76) Hakeem Nicks WR
9. (85) Malcom Floyd WR
10. (96) Robert Meachem WR
11. (105) Matt Ryan QB
12. (116) Devin Aromashodu WR
13. (125) Chester Taylor RB
14. (136) Philadelphia DEF
15. (145) Jeff Reed K

edit: So before the trade my starting lineup would be

QB: Schaub
RB1: Gore
RB2: Mendenhall
WR1: Welker
WR2: Nicks
Flex: Foster

vs after

QB: Schaub
RB1: Gore
RB2: Mendenhall
WR1: Jennings
WR2: Welker
Flex: Mathews

foster maybe a little fluky but nicks is primed to have a big year. everybody's been raving about him since training camp. i wouldnt do the trade.

foster = matthews but nicks > jennings by end of the year. foster might actually be > matthews for that matter.

Nicks is sitting even better with Boss being injured, keep him. The better he does, the more opportunity he will get.
