At this point, LeBron isn't even better than Michael Jordan playing baseball.

When Jordan was 32 he was playing baseball. Lebron is 26. Jordan didn't win his first championship until he was 28. Historical context of moving pieces is difficult if not downright silly.

We will have to give you the point about their ages.

And it is the first year for Lebron and Wade to be playing together etc etc.

They should be able to win one in the next 2-3 years though.

Lebron is going to have to make some adjustments, though. He really looked weak offensively in the finals.

And he needs to heave up a couple 1000 jumpshots a week over the Summer. His outside shooting is way too streaky.

Putting your head down and running at defenders only works so long. It's like a 98 mph fastball with little movement and no out pitch.

Those numbers seem about right. Lebron really fell off a cliff there at the end, and his defense seemed to really suffer for it. I know the media will only pay attention to points since they are morons, but defensively Miami just didn't have it the last two games. Lebron is/was the centerpiece of their defensive system and I really think he didn't have the legs to go 45 minutes a night through the entire playoff run.

Exactly, while I hate the Heat, going to the finals with basically a whole brand new team is still pretty damn good. They'll still be considered a top team even after losing the finals. Time for Riley to coach. Spoelstra doesn't know what to do in the big time.

That's the problem though, he didn't even attack the basket enough. If he consistently attacked the basket, he have would have either made dunks/lay-ups or gotten fouled. He barely went to the foul line in the finals.

That is friggin GREAT!!!!

I have to officially say that the Mavs were right and I was wrong: Kidd ended up being a good deal for them. He was pretty integral in these playoffs and they couldn't have done it without him.

I'm surprised that Mark Jackson was able to give "color commentary" during the game with Lebron's and Wade's genitalia in his mouth.

I thought Spo did a tremendous job all season long and pantsed the coach of the year in the ECF. Barring another injury plagued season, Spo will have a complete roster to work with.

Carlisle is a great coach, Bill Simmons said:

Rick Carlisle: If he wins, no more Jim Carrey jokes as well as an overdue ascent to "best game coach alive right now." Nobody controls a game with timeouts better than Carlisle, nobody uses his subs better or more effectively, and few coaches make better adjustments within a series (even simple ones, like moving Dirk's high-post game from the top of the foul line to the left side of the floor, just because it seemed like Miami was getting used to it). He's really, really smart.

I will never forget when he dismantled Doc Rivers and the 2005 Celtics with a Pacers team that had exactly two of the best 10 players in the series. Just an amazing coaching job. Hard to believe nobody hired him for two years, and yet Vinny Del Negro has been hired two different times. The NBA is really confusing.

I really didn't take from these Finals that Spo was the reason the Heat lost the series. He could have done some things different/better for sure, but 95% of his work this season has been phenomenal IMO.

I just requested a cashout of my bet that the Mavs would win the NBA championship.

I bet $25 and won $625. 😀 I placed this bet back in late Jan. when the odds were +2500 (25:1).

Wish I had bet $50 now so I could have broke $1K in winnings heh.

Postin from inside the Mav's arena where they are having a watchin party on the big screens inside....tickets for this sold out in 45 minutes last fri.

by halftime, the upper level was about 95% full...it got louder in there tonight then even a real game...you could feel everyone sensing it with about 8 minutes left in the 4th...

I bet it was awesome, the only NBA game I have ever been to was there to see them play the Tracy McGrady Magic squad quite a few years back. I really wish that they had worked out some kind of deal to use Jerry Jones' stadium for the Finals. They could have packed that out and just maybe I could have afforded some tickets.

this was the first one they charged for ($5 a ticket)...all of of the previous ones for all of the away games were free ($5 for parking)...Game 2 was completely full which is probably the reason they decided to charge...there is a huge screen outside the arena as well as the plaza was full of people watching the game outside..

Yeah, I was at game 2 and I remember they had to turn away thousands of ppl.

I was also at game 6 AAC watch party tonight. I was in the upper deck section like 318.

Looking back now, that it's over....

It's water under the bridge, but I think Bosh might have looked good in a Bulls uniform. He could have been his own man, away from the the two preeners. I don't care what anyone says, I think he's a pretty good player.

He and Rose might have developed some good chemistry.

reading some of the comments on miami herald.com's site...

absolutely pathetic reading the posts blaming the coaching and refs for the loss...some stand up posters there admitting the mavs just flat out beat the heat but jesus H christ, the rest of them....

haha really? pathetic.

But I guess you can't expect much else from heat fans who the majority are just wade/lebron nuthuggers. No doubt they'll blame anything and everything except wade/lebron.

Go MAVS! 99.999% of the population did not think the Mavs were going to claim it all (I'm proud to be one of the .001% that did believe 😛 ).

They were called the one and done boys, soft, weak, chokers. Feels so good that they proved all those people wrong.
