Well, my affair with RMBS started my senior year of highschool. I think I started at 50 or 100 shares, it's been wayyyyy too long to remember. I got interested in RMBS after Intel announced that RMBS was their future memory of choice, and my next door neighbor worked under Stuart Steele (at one point, the largest shareholder of RMBS, I think over 10 million shares) and made fortunes off the stock.

I bought several hundred more throughout my college years, but when I founded my start-up company, Azurik Inc., I focused my capital elsewhere.

Years after college, in June 2008, I started buying like crazy with the available capital I had. When the stock market crashed in October/November of 2008, I bought several thousands more at $5.00. The surprise Delaware ruling in January 2009 provided another opportunity to buy more in single digits.

Well... you get the picture. My average cost is probably around $10 or so dollars, but I plan on sticking around a lot longer.

RMBS making a nice little pop here the last couple days, could this FINALLY be it?

Holy crap the Jan 2011 calls are EXPENSIVE, wonder if someone knows something.

Nice follow-up day on RMBS, with good volume. Technically, it has clearly broken out of its major resistance. $26 would be the next hurdle, then no major resistance until $41+.

Fundamentally, if Samsung settles (lets stick with the conservative amount that a lot of analysts are running around the rumor mill - $1.3 billion in damages plus average ongoing royalties of 2% to account both for DRAM and DRAM controllers). Samsung owns 35% of the overall $25 billion DRAM market, and an unknown percentage of the controller market. Plug in a P/E of 25-30 and arguments can be made that the stock should be worth $60 - $100 on Samsung alone. On the flip side, the markets crash and no one settles before the trial, then we need to see the trial through its course - RMBS will probably have a run-up to the January trial, but will be much more affected by the general stock market's course. Keep in mind we have the ITC decision in late January.

It will be a wild ride, lets hope it's on the up side. It would really make a nice birthday present (my birthday is Dec 8) if settlements were signed this weekend and announced Monday, but that's a big stretch. Hey, what can I say, I have big dreams!

other than a lot of pumpers are pumping this one on all the yahoo message boards, I don't see what the excitement is about at this stage. They don't even have a drug in phase 3 yet, yes, they have drugs that got fast track and might start phase 3 soon, but that's like at least 1-2yrs away from approval, if not longer. The stock might go up a buck or so when they start phase 3, but then it will be dead money for a year or so until more news from the study. I think we have a lot of new biotech investors because of all the buzz from DNDN and HGSI, and they don't really know how the whole approval process works.

Yes, but like I said before, barring any surprises, RMBS should easily get to $26. There are no major resistance levels at all until that point, then none till $40's. Virtually all technical indicators are bullish after it broke out of it's major resistance in the $19.90 - $20.00 range.

With a trial on track for January, and a decision (hopefully good) on the Nvidea ITC case that month too, it should be a good month.

A lot of my shares have quadrupled up in value since the low purchases of $5-$6... loving it, just simply loving it.
 
Xmas come early for me...I added RMBS Dec 18 options last Monday, S options Wednesday, and UGL options at the low on Friday.
 
What do you guys think about Nintendo and Take Two Interactive? Both are coming off lows today.

Man, how about that AMD. I'm kicking myself for not following that more thoroughly.
 
Do you guys know what happens with taxes and the GM/MTLQQ junk? Since I technically don't own shares of GM anymore do I write that off as a complete loss or do I have to wait until I sell the MTLQQ?
