NJ plays great hockey, and I hate them as a fan of a rival team. Other than Brodeur, the team doesn't have any true stars, so everything they win, they've done by grinding. It's a different brand of hockey, but if I'm not watching the Flyers, there are few teams I'd want to watch more than NJ. Maybe the Caps and Wings.

I don't understand how you claim to watch NJ and not include Kovy as a star. Parise should also be up there.

Honestly, Kovy has been forgettable as a Devil so far. He's a star, but he's still adjusting to the game they play in NJ.

Parise should be up there, but how many casual fans have heard of him? Would be even fewer if not for the Olympics.

This is not a knock on NJ. They're a team that doesn't get the coverage they deserve. Langenbrunner is one of my favorite guys in the league.

Don't really follow th east that much, but isn't langenbrunner good?

Langenbrunner is one of the most underrated players you'll find, especially as a captain. The Devils always find a way to win - whether Brodeur is injured, guys get traded or walk in free agency, etc. The captain has a big part in keeping the team together like that.

With all due respect to Mike Richards' skill, I wish we had a captain like Jamie Langenbrunner in Philly.

Wow, Fluery had a terrible game. I don't know why they didn't pull him. At least 3/5 of ottowas goals were entirely his fault.

he definitely should have had the last one that beat him in the "seven" hole... as Healy put it. lol

i love the playoffs :awe:

n7: whoever the Oilers pick will turn out to be the shittier player :awe:

nah. j/k. i don't think they can go wrong but i'd rather see them go for Seguin... they need a 2-way centre and a playmaker... Hall is all offense. He'd do better on a team that could ease him into the lineup... I think the Oilers would try to rush his development. I don't think they're very good at developing young talent. Here's to next season, or the one after... lol :)

I got 4 out of 4 wrong last night. Looks like the 4 teams pegged to lose got up 1-0.

Pittsburgh didn't want it for half the game and Fleury is not playing good hockey. I'm a Pens fan but I realize that unless Fleury plays like he did last year, they stand no chance.

My prediction for the cup is Washington over Vancouver in 6. However; should Washington not make the finals, the West will win the cup regardless of who is playing.

Pitt played good enough to win last night IMHO, the bounces just did not go their way last night. I can't remember how many times I said the same for the capitals last year :(

Pens looked like shit last night... The Flyers beating the Devils didn't surprise me as much as the Coyotes coming back did. Sharks... I knew it!
