Crosby has #51 so Ovechkin won't be winning that trophy either. Will he go 0/3 with the Hart?

Damn, I really didn't want the Devils to play the Flyers in the playoffs...

Pretty funny ending to the Devils-Sabres game today. It was tied 1-1, and the Sabres had to win in regulation to get the 2nd seed. Sabres had a penalty at ~2:24, then another with ~0:58. When the 5-on-3 ended they wanted to pull their goalie but he wasn't paying attention. When he finally realized they were yelling for him to come off the ice he ran into the referee and tripped and fell into the boards. I don't even think they got their 5th skater on when the Devils scored on the empty net.

That couldn't have worked out better for the Penguins.

The Flyers have had their way with the devils this season. The Pens can't beat the devils, but they can handle philly with ease. GO FLYERS!! :awe:

Kinda shitty stamkos got an empty netter to tie sid though. Oh well.

I don't mind getting the Flyers. They had our number in the regular season, but with their goaltending and way Brodeur is playing right now, we should be able to handle them.

I hope Chicago makes it to the finals and loses. That way Hossa will have been on the losing side of the cup for 3 different teams 3 years in a row.

Too bad he couldn't lose to the team he was on last year in the finals. I just think it's fantastic that he played for Pittsburgh and lost to the Wings, then signed with the Wings and lost to Pittsburgh. :D

Ovie isn't winning the Hart.

I have my doubts too... I'd say 50/50. He finished the season poorly and also missed 9 games - he could've done a lot more damage. If he's not easily leading in goals or points then you would look at what he means to his team and even there it's not a good case as it was in years past. Who are the true competitors aside from Sedin though?

Aside from the usuals (Crosby, Ovechkin), I think you could throw a goalie into the mix like Ryan Miller.

maybe i'll get chirped for even suggesting but what about Jimmy Howard? perhaps he will get a nod for the Calder but i think Duchene has it wrapped up.

i think Hank should get the Hart... he was $ for the Canucks

also... Stammer is f*cking awesome

I wanted to mention Howard but didn't want to sound like a homer. I could see him getting a few votes.

I also think Duchene is an afterthought for the Calder. It'll be between Howard and Tyler Myers from Buffalo, with Duchene or Tavares 3rd. Tavares did just as much as Duchene on an even shittier team.

Woo hoo, here we go Av's against the Sharks. I was hoping for this matchup as we seem to match up really well against them, I don't think they can hold with the young players' speed.

Hopefully this will be another year with the Sharks going out in the first round.

true. Myers is a force already. Tavares also did not disappoint. Their fans are appoint
