From what I've read the target for VMW is around $29. So they are still to high right now.

What's going on with VMware?

EDIT: And yes, the fed is meeting today and tomorrow.

Can the freakin' market have a natural crash already? Enough of this plugging the cracked dam with bubble gum, Ben. It's time to use fresh concrete and permanently fix the issue.

I guess it's too much to ask for NO rate cut tomorrow.

Eventually that's going to have to happen.

Jeez... how unexpected. You dropped the rates 1.25% in less than 2 weeks - I believe that's the first time in history.

Man, did I really got hurt off of VMW. Incidently, Etrade eleviated a good portion of that loss today. Doing trades of ETFC has been my saving grace during this whole market downturn. I would have bled dried otherwise.

Ouch..however I still believe that we'll see dramatic declines again.

One or more large block holders were selling heavily into the strength of the rally. I'm surprised they took the price back down to the opening price, but not surprised someone is dumping.

Anyone here do DCFs? If so, go look at JNJ and SHW! The two that pop out of my head as undervalued right now. And heck, take your pick from the better financials like USB and WFC.

Yes.
I'm seeing excellent valuation in JNJ.

The market's retreat roughly coincided with a hedge fund's letter to regulators that bond insurers face much bigger losses. The bond insurance industry has gotten whacked in the past few months, thanks to losses accrued from guarantees they sold on mortgage-related securities.

As someone who already own VMW and hurting, I cannot recommend this to anyone. VMW reported increased profits a couple days ago but did not meet Wall Street's lofty expectations. In turn stock price tumbled over 30% in one day. It may look like an attractive price but investors confidence is nowhere near that of its IPO. Look for increased competition from the likes of Oracle, HP, and Microsoft.

If you're going to get in, don't stay in for long. Analysts have downgraded price target to $60.

I'm honest in my huge gains and losesses, so here's my update. I'm down about $2.5K on CPNE right now, it just took a major dump these past couple days and took out the gains I had on the stock with it.

I'm still in regardless, as what I know of the company hasn't changed. Lets see what their earnings report says.
