Someone start the clock. Come tuesday it'll be Celtics fans turn to complain about the free throw disparage and the refs calling ticky tack fouls.

Admit it you know that's how the NBA works.

If only the lakers were blown out the press can focus on something else. But with the difference only being six, they're gonna have tons to talk about tomorrow. You know they are just dying to write about something since they didn't have the triple crown story to write about.

First words out of Phil's mouth in the press conference were bitching and moaning about Powe getting all those free throws. I guess he dozed off in the 2nd quarter when Walton, Turiaf, and the rest of the scrubs were making Powe look like an all-star, letting him go around them and fouling him in the paint.

But Phil's heart didn't really seem to be in that argument this time. I guess he figures his usual Game 2/Game 4 referee rants just aren't that credible when your defense and overall intensity blatantly sucked balls for most of the game. Rondo and Pierce just waltzed into the lane or along the baseline whenever they wanted.

The Celtics completely quit playing perimeter defense about 1/3 of the way through the 4th, otherwise it wouldn't have been very close.
 
Those two quick fouls by Kobe hurt big time - stupid calls, btw. Subsequently, that led to Phil bringing in the scrubs in the 2nd quarter (WTF) which turned Powe into a superstar. The discrepancy in the #FT given is alarming, but it's not all on the refs. Quit whining and play the damn game...YOU ALMOST WON!! BLEH.
 
The series will come back to 2-2. I give it the ropeadope guarantee stamp (which of course means nothing) 😀 - I'd be really surprised if the Lakers don't even out the series though.

Refs are really looking bad in this series. Not the way the league wants to go to avoid referee controversy. If they are unfair both ways, I guess it kinda balances out though. I doubt the Lakers will get 4 times more free throws at Staples center though.

You still think inside/out is where the Lakers are most successful? Wouldn't that mean, the Lakers would have a dominant inside or post game? I'm just going to leave it at that and agree to disagree...

I was talking about the opening score by the Celts. And you don't need a dominant inside game.
