Ridiculously sick 1st round matchups in the west:

Phoenix vs. San Antonio
Dallas vs. New Orleans
Utah vs. Houston
Lakers vs. Denver

The only real upset would be if Denver beats the Lakers, while the others are anyones guess to advance.

It's going to be an absolute blood bath. There may be more game 6's and 7's then ever. Also emotions will run high. All those teams have players who are ultra hungry. It's going to be very physical. Damn I can't wait 'till this weekend!!!

oh and..

GO LAKERS!!!!

3 great matchups in the West.

I don't watch much TV, so I just have the rabbit ears...I wish they would offer the games online for non-cable/satellite subscribers.

The Denver LA series will be very entertaining to watch even if results a bit more predictable.

My picks:

Phoenix vs. San Antonio - Phoenix in 6
Dallas vs. New Orleans - Hard to tell. I would take NO in 7
Utah vs. Houston - Another great matchup. But i would take the jazz in 6
Lakers vs. Denver - Lakers in 6

As for the east....Who cares. Only 2 of the 8 teams are worthy anyways

Of course you would say that

I agree with you though :)

Edit: REALLY hard to see lakers losing a series to anyone, especially with Bynum back.

It is true though :)

2006-2007: 31 mpg, 13,3 ppg, 3,2 apg, 4 rpg

2007-2008: 36 mpg, 19,5 ppg, 5,0 apg, 5,7 rpg

Constant highest scorer in his team and has one of the best, if not the best, 3P% in NBA (across players with 400+ attempted shots) :)

With Denver winning :p

If the nuggets D up then it should be very entertaining to watch. I still believe they have a great chance of winning. Just look at their line-up!

Pistons will take it this year, they are rested and the bench has been developed and primed for the run.

GO PISTONS!!!

That should happen around the same time Jesus becomes Muslim. They don't call them the Enver Nuggets for nothing...

WHY ARE COACHES SO RIDICULOUSLY STUPID NOT TO FOUL WHEN YOU'RE UP 3 AT THE END OF A GAME!? JEEZUS, Phoenix should've won twice by now..Memphis should've won, etc.

Holy shit Tim Duncan for 3. Popovich is insane for running a set play like that down 3 at the end of OT. Props to Duncan for actually hitting it too.

Damn that was a good game. And while the Spurs are crazy to call that play with Duncan shooting the 3, the Suns are crazy to leave Duncan so wide open. I realize he doesn't regularly light it up from behind the arc, but he's not Shaq....Duncan can shoot the ball, and he's as clutch as anyone in the league.

I think it must be some unspoken understanding between teams because I've rarely seen games end that way. The Spurs didn't do it either during the 2nd OT.

No, screw YOU, it was only one game. :p

They played like champs tho. And the 3 by Duncan will probably be played over and over for years to come, especially if they win the series (which they won't ;).)
