Floyd was straight up sick tonight, totally shut down the Twins. Him and Carlos are going to get huge contracts next year. They said something about a Floyd trade rumor on the radio which would be horrible. Keep this guy around, he might turn into something special.

We have control of both of them for many years to come...so no contracts yet.

The only trade I'd do that was rumored is Floyd + (bunch of other prospects) for Halladay.

And the sox have been one the best teams in baseball since AJP moved to 2nd in the lineup and he is having a career year avg wise.

I'll take a free KGJ anyday. You guys pick up most of his salary, we give you basically nothing. If he sucks, no big loss, we are in the same position.

not what I've heard. We pay half his salary this year and YOU pay his buyout. 2 million for us, 6 for you.

"Sources said the Reds and White Sox will essentially "split" what remains on Griffey's contract this season, along with the cost of his $4 million buyout for 2009."

That's too ambiguous to me as to who is paying it. It sort of reads that they will split the (contract + buyout) costs. So maybe its 4 million each.
