damn straight we have a chance buddy!! lots of games left and only 6 pts back of the division leaders.

7-game roadie starts tomorrow against the Bruins! Eastern teams, here we come! 😛

lol. Anyone else see the Pens game the other night where petrovicky beat the sh!t out of someone and they had to carry him off in a stretcher?

Pens are 11-0-2 in their last 13 games. I think they are gonna make a great run in the playoffs this year (but probably not win it all), and they will be the most dominating team in the NHL for the next couple years.

Giggity giggity a 7:00pm EST OILERS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!

😎

Oilers / Bruins... man, when is the last time these two teams met up?! So many great games and playoff series in the 80s! This is going to be great to watch tonight!

paging Insane3D!! 🙂

In Kris Newbury's defence, being knocked unconscious was his own fault. He pulled on the guy he was fighting, slipped, and hit his unhelmeted head on the ice. Whoops. 😛 No permanent damage or even a concussion resulted, though.

Colby Armstrong also picked a fight with Hal Gill in that game, which is, um, a really bad idea. For anyone, save possibly Chara.
Hal Gill

Born Apr 6 1975 -- Concord, MA
Height 6.07 -- Weight 240 -- Shoots L
He got thrown around like a rag doll by the monster that is Gill. 😛

Hey did you guys see Newbury being interviewed yesterday at practice? He was really cool about it. Petrovicky called him to apologize and he said it wasn't necessary. "I was on the wrong end of it, that's all."

Hockey players pwn.

Yeah, Petrovicky even applauded Newbury being taken off the ice in a conscious state. There were definitely no hard feelings, total freak accident.

In other news, I just passed Michael Peca in my office building's lobby - he was hobbling over using a cane to our Second Cup. Didn't look very happy, must have just gotten out of a rehab session at the Westin Harbour Castle hotel across the street (all NHL and NBA visiting players to the Air Canada Centre stay there, apparently).

Cool. When is he due back in the Leafs' lineup? Wellwood would be nice to have back too. I loved watching Wellwood play for the Spitfires.

welp... pretty weak couple of road periods there... undisciplined, BUTT UGLY powerplay, no one hitting the net, and Thomas playing good anyway.

Come on Oilers. muck and grind if that's all you're good for. just light the damn lamp.

edit: well, at least I didn't break anything tonight. I can't remember being this angry after a hockey game 🙂

Man, I caught a bit of the Canucks / Wild last night... I wish the Oilers were playing like either of those teams right now. That was GOOD hockey. 🙁

Man... could be some MAJOR pwnage tonight in Buffalo... eek. Not looking good for the Oil.

Keep the faith Brother

I wish the Canucks would have won in regulation time 🙂

Cheers,

Buffalo has a horrible record when playing Canadian teams at home. They're 4-5-1 in those games. If it weren't for the last two home games against Canadians, they'd be 2-5-1.
