Canucks play that damn trap I hate so much. They deserve their nickname "The New Jersey Devils of the west". The Trap is evil personified. You guys just stood on your blue line for the whole 3rd period and had not one shot on goal. Reminds me of the old Indianapolis Racers in the WHA during the mid 70s.

Come to think of it...... how could we be considered a trap team when whe send 1-2 forecheckers in (trap has no forechecker) and we let the other team have 30+ shots on our goalie?

I think we are just forechecking the hell out of our opposition and just playing better defense then we have before with our old run & gun team.

For sure. The only thing that sucks is the Oilers are still for the most part a fledgling team offensively and make too many mistakes with the puck. Half of the time they get the puck, they turn it over in the neutral zone or just flip it up the ice to relieve pressure. They also have to devise another breakout strategy besides whipping the puck up the boards because it usually results in a) opposing D holding it in or b) giving up possession anyway unless your wingers are in perfect position.

What I would really like is 1-2 of their guys to catch fire offensively and actually look like they know what they are doing out there 😛

Lots of games left... they will have to show some good improvement to make the playoffs and great improvement to beat anyone if they get there. GO OIL!
