No instructions NOT to carry a weapon in a pocket with your keys and change? WHAT! lol "In a s blizzard of keys and cash our hero brought his weapon up into firing position only find the mechanism jammed by a dime!"

Can we get a libtard translator in here please? I have no idea what the hell this guy is trying to say.

Don't need a liberal, just someone passingly familiar with English and a gun:

"In a blizzard of keys and cash, our hero brought his weapon up to firing position only find the trigger jammed by a dime!"

Personal preference and situation. Nothing else goes in the pocket though.

It's still not the best idea.

As long as you realize that your semi may only fire one shot, and your revolver may not even fire one shot, if your life is in danger and removing the pistol from your pocket first is not an option.

Concealed hammer revolvers are about the only reliable repeaters that can be fired from your pocket.

If you decide that the delay in removing the pistol from your pocket is acceptable, you still have the possibility of it simply not coming out cleanly, even with nothing else in your pocket, and creating a life ending delay.

A good point. I carry a Taurus ultra-lite in a nemisis holster. To get a good grip/hand position that I don't have to readjust, I need to use a good amount of downward force.

vs an IWB? My shirt is tucked most of the time. I'll stick with the pocket.

You can open carry where you are? Otherwise, you'll be removing it from somewhere concealed.

I've been using the Tuk N Go a lot lately. It works great with tucked in shirts.

Both are very tuckable. The Tuk N Go is just a bit more comfortable so I wear that more often.

We are not discussing you though, but people in general.

And the fact that people can't open carry in FL was already posted in the thread as the likely reason the guy had the gun in his pocket.

I never carry at all.

not sure if serious...

Oh! maybe it had a "silencer!"

:snicker:

People reported that it sounded like a lightbulb popped, and they had no idea a gun had been fired.

I don't know what else would account for the sound being muffled other than the shooter's clothing.

maybe the cafe was populated with older people that were hard of hearing? :\

One victim is said to be 76.

For me, the pocket is more easily accessible.

Doesn't matter because the police will protect me in any case. Right?

.
My bad. Didn't realize you were trolling.

I'm just going to say it now I don't believe that the ricochet from his bullet hit NINE people as the article claims. That seems just a bit hard to believe.

The bullet could have fragmented after hitting the table, but yeah, nine people? Not likely.

If you don't use your weapon enough to build muscle memory on operating it then you shouldn't be carrying it.

Figures he was a Glock user though, bunch of retards where a safety is too much work and too hard to operate. :whiste:

Many cops go their entire career without ever having to discharge their weapon outside of a shooting range. What makes you think you'd ever have to?

This is kind of why I am slightly against CCW. You get more people with guns in the public you have more chances for accidents like this. Besides, most people are lazy. You might train with your gun for a few months or even a few years but after a while you'll get complacent and then if/when the day ever comes and you need your gun you will have become rusty.

Didn't realize you were trolling.

What you do is not what everyone does.

What you carry is not what everyone carries.

The way you carry does not necessarily work for the next guy.

Your decisions don't necessarily apply to anyone but you.

They may be fine for you, but not for the next guy.

I will never carry a gun of any kind in my pocket without the trigger being completely enclosed, don't care if it has a 10 lb pull.
