So maybe you should stop your car if a cop has blue lighted you...just maybe.

Or not and your fam can get $1.2M for your idiocy.

Edit: And put your hands on the wheel and turn on the dome light.

...?common sense....

I totally agree that this is what you SHOULD do. It's what I do.

Yet failure to stop doesn't equal a death penalty. If a cop shoots you because you don't follow the rules, absent an extremely legitimate reason to shoot the fuck out of you, the cop should get jail time and be PERSONALLY financially liable. If so, this shit would end in a heartbeat and wouldn't even be discussed here anymore. That is the real solution, not "you didn't obey enough".

That's why I think cops should have to carry some sort of malpractice insurance, withdrawn directly from their paychecks. If one cop messes up, it affects all their pocket books when their premiums go up.

And expect our taxes to increase to fully cover the cost of insuring every officer. Either way, the cost comes from the taxpayer in the end.

Grandpa should have pulled over because resisting police is stupid--in part because so many are absolute animals in uniforms and will use any excuse real or imagined to shoot some one. They repeatedly lie to get away with criminality and why not they are only slapped on the wrist when caught in these lies. And then when they are caught red handed they are still comparatively slapped on the wrist. They are given excessive leeway constantly.

A former North Augusta Public Safety officer is now facing a felony charge in the 2014 shooting death of an Edgefield County man after a police chase, according to the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division.

Justin Gregory Craven, 25, was charged Tuesday with discharging a firearm into a vehicle while occupied, and was booked at the Edgefield County detention center Tuesday.

Looks like the system is working in this case.

Because, "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - Benjamin Franklin.

And those who needlessly put their lives at risk do jack shit to preserve liberty, because all too often they go to jail or die. I love how some people romanticize those actively resisting law enforcement as "freedom fighters" or some shit. They're assholes looking to play real life GTA, and they often get exactly what they wish for.
