Hey,

They gave me a rebate receipt when I purchased the drive. The rebate form is on the last page of the October Rebate book which you can get while at OM. The flyer specifcally states "No other coupons or discounts will be honored at this event, with the exception of Mail In Rebates offers in our rebate directory."

Unclebud,

The flyer also mentions Giftcards...but they mean you cannot use the coupons to get a discount on Giftcards. I do not see why you would not be allowed to use one to purchase something.

This $70 Giftcard will be used to purchase DVD media.

chrisjor is correct ......... there is a mail in rebate for a $70 OM gift card good thru 11/2 when you purchase a HP 200i DVD writer. Check page 23 of the Omax rebate directory.

Also to help clarify ...... if you have a Omax gift card you can use it on any purchase. What they mean is you can't use any discounts from this event (i.e. the 10% off) to purchase a gift card.

A reminder to fellow retail people who are in the HP Infolab:

HP DVD 200i writer--------------- $199.99

P4P rebate------------------------- $50.00
Bonus rebate(25000 points)--- $250.00
Omax gift card -------------------- $70.00

That pans out to $170.00 profit.

If you caught on quick enough and got the HP 750 last week and then price adjust tomorrow:

HP 750----------------------- $99.99

P4P rebate ----------------- $50.00
Bonus (10000 points)----- $50.00
Omax gift card ------------- $25.00

Profit of $25.00

Combined deal = $195.00 profit

Hmmm enough to pay for the Intel bundle 😀

A quick update on some interesting things that happened at OM today. I was able to return and repurchase the DVD drive. I also purchased the 2.4ghz Curtis phone. The problem is that they were scanning the ad as the item bar code and manually entering the price. The manager said that the ad scans should have acted as a coupon...but for some reason they were not working. So they scanned the ad and entered the price manually.

1) the upc code on my receipt shows the upc number that was on the ad....therefore, they do not match the barcodes on the product packaging.

2) No rebate receipts printed out.......if this is the case when you go to OM....SAY SOMETHING, or you will not be able to get any of the rebates!!!!! The receipt does not show the proper UPC code!!!!

3) Should you need to return something...once again...the receipt does not show the proper UPC code!!!! I am going to keep the flyer and staple my receipt to it so that I can bring the flyer if I need to return something. Hopefully that will prove that I purchased the item as I claim.

4) the lil' honey who rang me out only charged me 9.99 for the phone (it should have been 19.99 with a 10 mir) so she goofed. It is ok for the phone...but if I did not already have a rebate receipt from purhasing the DVD drive early, I would be pissed and trying to get the proper receipts for the gift card rebate.

Just a heads up!!

can you express more? what's the meaning of "p4p rebate"? what's the bonus rebate? thanks!

P4P = Product for Partners
Bonus Rebate is when you cash in Infolab points

These are only for retail store associates who sell HP products. Examples would be OfficeMax, BestBuy , CompUsa , etc.

I just came back from OM and decided to pass on the HP750. I printed a few test copies and didn't like how they looked. Even after a print alignment the copies still had banding problems. Oh well, didn't need it anyway.

Does anyone have any input on the HP computer bundle they're offering for $499?

I was just down at OM again tonight and they have all these sales in regular sales flyer you would get in sun newspaper. goes all week till next sat.

They were passing out these "friend & family" flyer's out like halloween treats to everyone who walked in the door at my OfficeMax. This guys job todays was to sit at a table in the corridor between the 2 entrance doors and hand everyone a flyer.

A side note for all the doubters: I purchased 1 with the flyer they handed me, a previous OMax gift card I had from the same HP200i deal awhile back, & a $25 off coupon I received in the mail.

Please provide a link. The one on the OMax site is for $70 not $90. PDF

got a olympus 3020 for 200.00. Was an error or it was supposed to be the correct price?. From the add I thought that was going to be for 299

Hmm, I guess I'll have to swing by a store tomorrow - I missed the deal on the HP PSC750 All-In-One for $50 AR. Just read it in the FW board that HP has a $50 rebate on this if you bought a PC and monitor recently. So if this price ($99) is going to be on all through next week, I won't have to try PM at Staples or OD.

🙂

Not sure where you are at but the Ad for this week doesn't have the same deals.

seatidex , That is really odd. Hope they honor that for you. 🙂

impressive. if i had known about the $90, i might have bought it (they still had two here at closing, but i don't have an hp, and i like my components to match 😱 and my parents don't use the burner i installed for them ALREADY). sweet deal. echo hoping that they honor that... would be a knockout

perhaps its not in newspaper I will check my newspaper later when i get it. but the flyer i grabed at OM has the same deals in it also ask how long was told till next sat, I am in AZ

I wonder why the difference in the Giftcards? I cannot find any online link to any DVD 200i rebate in the rebate section.

Seatidex...you don't live in Hawaii or Puerto Rico do you?

Also...my OM Sneak Preview email did not have these deals for the week. Everything went back to its normal price.

WHY not do this

PM the hp200i DVD burner at Best Buy who has a $50 MIR and $50 instand gift card for it

Breakdown

Best Buy has it for $350 - 50MIR + free $50 card

PM
$350- $160PM = $190!!! - 50MIR - $50 instant gc= Net TOTAL of $90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
